Cevitor Smart Home Wifi Table Lamp, Alexa Vioce Control, Minimalist Solid Wood Bedside Desk Lamp,Not Hub Required

First time leaving a review, but only because I wasted so much time trying to get this to work that I wanted to share how so that nobody wastes time like me. Other than the horrible process of getting the lamp set up, the lamp works perfectly.Make sure you have a 2.4 GHz wi-fi connection - You likely do, but on the small chance you don't, you should probably buy another lamp and not risk it.Okay, instruction time. Firstly grab yourself the "Smart Life - Smart Living" app by Tuya Inc. on the App Store. Click Add Device, then select Lighting. Choose "Lighting (other)". Click configure, then select Pairing Mode in the top right. Change the pairing mode to AP Mode (EZ mode didn't work for me - your mileage may vary).On the lamp, turn it off-on-off-on-off-on, letting the light turn on each time before resetting again. Wait 5 seconds - the lamp will start rapidly blinking. Do it again: off-on-off-on-off-on. Wait 5 seconds - the lamp will be slowly blinking. Bingo. Run through the setup process on the app, and it should connect effortlessly. Alexa also has no issues connecting to Tuyo.These are the specific instructions I had to follow to get it to work. Hopefully that helps someone out there.

The instructions weren't all that clear, but I figured out how to get all three switches that I ordered working!! First you have to get the switches connected to your Wi-Fi, which wasn't that hard if you are closer we to your router. Next you download the TUYASMART App onto your phone ( none available for iPads ). Then I had to figure out that to get it identified on Alexa ( echo dot), I had to download the TUYASMART "skill" for a Alexa, which allowed Alexa to identify the switches very easily. I recommend re-naming each of the switches to something that makes sense based on what they will turn on. This makes it easier to recall them when telling Alexa what to turn on or off.I'm only one day into this new "connected" world, but everything seems to work great with either my iPhone (TIYA App) or with Alexa!!

Alexa can change primary colors (red blue green purple ect.) we called ours "Light" and the commands are simple.Alexa turn the light green.Alexa turn the light on/offAlexa turn the light 1 percent---to---100 percentthis is being used a a bed table lamp and it sure is nice to wake up for a bathroom call in the middle of the night tosay Alexa turn the light on. No reaching for switches. So if you have Alexa it's very usefull.other wise you need your smart phone to use the lamp. it's a smart bulb in the lamp and you just replace with another smart bule when it burns out.We have not had to do that yet.We have purchased 2 of these so far and couldn't be more pleased.

Lamp shade, particularly its workmanship, leaves a lot to be desired. I knew this wasn’t for to be high quality at the price, but even with that low bar found the craftsmanship to be lacking. You’re essentially paying for a WiFi smart bulb, and a low quality lampshade.

Item came with shade bent so far out of shape that it was difficult to remove the lamp base which is packed inside the shade. In addition the bend put a permanent crinkle in the shade. The damage to the item obviously took place at the warehouse insofar as it was in a noticeably crushed carton. This carton was shipped inside a much larger Amazon carton which showed no damage.Forgetting about the damage, this lamp is pretty flimsy. The base is solid wood but rough finished. The software controlling the lamp color is very basic and pretty limited as to what effects it produces.

Nice design style lamp. However pay close attention this light says 2.4Ghz wifi lamp. To the normal person this means nothing however this is slow wifi and if you have a fast wifi signal such as cable lightbulb will not work. Even if it connects you will have many problems and even lose connection eventually. Will end up buying different bulb. Dont buy cause you are paying $30 for cheap lamp base with no bulb thats usable unless you have slow wifi

I wanted a small, no frills bedside lamp that could be controlled through Amazon Alexa... and this delivered in spades! The color control is a nice bonus.(Especially blue which lets me see without losing my night vision.) This attractive but unobtrusive lamp doesn’t take up much space, but it performs like a show-stopper. Very happy with it!

These lamps and light sets are great! They are not as bright or as good as Philips Hue lights but considering they come with the lamp and are 40% cheaper, they are the better value for budget minded consumers. As a side not, they did mess up 1of the 3 lamps I purchased but rectified the issue VERY quickly and I could not be more impressed and happy with how they handled it. Very easy to use and to setups with Alexa. Overall, if you have the money, I would definitely go for Philips Hue lights because overall they are brighter with far more features, but if you want simple smart lights for your place these are a solid purchase.
