arrived quickly , and as expected
I use these all the time, they have arrived promptly. The sensors themselves are very useful to me as they tell me minute to minute whats happening. Sometimes they can fail to connect but usually it's temporary , and when i had one come off you can talk to abbot themselves and they replaced the unit for me. It should be clearer on the listing that the price is VAT free - this caused me some worry - I think I've resolved the issue in my mind after checking details, in fact the seller here is actually probably being more honest than others I have used who probably just don't say it.

Too low all the time
I am never lower than 5.9 with fingerstick readings. So imagine my surprise when this sensor tells me I am 3.9! Then when I do a fingerstick reading it is 8.6. The sensor keeps claiming I am lower than I am by a lot. Even if I take a reading 10 minutes after a fingestick as suggested due to the time delay between blood and fluid. Even when my levels were 18.2 the sensor claimed I was 7.5. Can you imagine if I were to pin insuline based on this sensor readings? Very dangerous. Don't waste your money. Oddly enough Abbott sent me a sensor as part of a free trial and it worked great, was always accurate withing a small margin of error and my arm didn't ache. But this sensor is way out all the time and my arm aches. The photo shows the reading (where I have marked it with a note) taken 10 minutes after the fingerstick. The finger stick was taken 20 minutes after eating porridge. So was on the way up but not at the highest it will be. The difference is huge and the sensor only went up to 10 before changing to a steady instead of rising yet it continued to rise and showed as even higher in the finger stick test 1hr after eating said porridge. The photo includes the night readingswhich are also wrong. It shows going into the low 3's regularly but I did a fingerstick when I woke up to the low alarms and I was in the 7's. So much so that I was never as low as 7.5. That is a huge difference! Not even a week of use and now it won't scan readings at all. I just get error readings telling me to try again in 10 mins. I wait 10 mins and it gives the same message. So it is totally redundant. For the price these things are you would expect them to work. I contacted Abbott and they gave me a huge long list of things they want me to gather info of. They want the sensor number in the back of the unit which means taking it out of my arm. The want the info on the box which I threw away after inserting the unit onto my arm and therefore can't give them. They want photos of fingerstick readings10 mins before sensore taps readings as well as photos of sensor taps with date and time. The make and model of finger stick test machine as well as the date the unit was purchased or prescribed. That wasn't a problem at first but now the sensor won't even scan and is just error messages. I don't have time for all this documentation rubbish. So I am just writing off this hundred quid and not buying again.

Good insights into your own blood sugar reactions to food types to f
Very expensive devices but a useful tool to gain insight into blood sugar responses with diabetes / pre diabetes - I thought the product seemed a bit over engineered and was surprised at the size of applicator and just how much plastic you are left to dispose of - but the actual working patch is small and easy to wear providing real time output to smart phone app which works brilliantly .

Great investment
These are great and rather reliable, just wish it was a bit cheaper.

The sensor works
These sensors measure blood glucose levels in people with diabetes. The parcel arrived 2 days earlier than originally advised so was very pleased at the speed of delivery.

Faulty
I bought two and both these sensors were faulty. I spoke to Abbot and they asked me to return the first one as it was measuring very low the whole time and then suddenly shooting straight up to 10 and back down to 3 in seconds. The Abbott assistant said it was obviously faulty. I am now trying the second sensor and will have to give up on this one as well - in three days it has been measuring 6.9 almost the whole time and is two whole points or more higher than regular finger prick tests. I don't know if this has been a bad batch but it has cost me a lot of worry and money and I will be buying direct from Abbott in future.

Does the job. Keeps me on top of my blood sugar levels in just about realtime.
Dislikes.Cost, I think these CGM' are really expensive but what can you do.Likes.Being able to monitor my blood sugar in near real-time. Alerts when my blood sugar is going too high.Adhesion is good, and they are hypo-allergenic. The protective patch that came with the monitor, not so much, caused swelling and blistering within 24 hours. Bought hypo-allergenic protectors and haven't looked back.
