Absolutely what was needed - thanks.Well I had put a positive review up but this was a gift for my mother in law & she loved it for a week.Then found the coffee pouring out of the bottom of the cafetiere so thought something had gone wrong.She loved the item so re-ordered it.Within a week, the exact same thing has happened again so she's thrown them both in the bin & bought a new one from Sainsburys!It appears not to be able to cope with boiling water from the kettle to make the coffee - fundamental flaw.I cannot find anywhere to send a message to the seller as would have liked to have liaised first before putting negative on here. One issue we could forgive perhaps but 2 breaking in 2 weeks is pretty dire.Not fit for purpose.

Good quality product at a great price. You'll get about 4 normal sized mugs of coffee out of this, or 8 of the small espresso sized mugs. The filter does a good job of sealing around the edge and making sure coffee granules don't get through into the poured part. It's easy to clean and the glass comes out of the surround easily. Can't knock it for price. Interestingly it seems the glass part is a universal size, as the old mesh filter part from a previous caffitiere fits perfectly

Arrived within 24 hrs. Exactly as described and as expected. Silicon handle makes it easy to hold whilst pouring.

I have tried several other makes of cafetiere and found the plungers to be badly matched to the glass - binding, scratching etc. This one fits nicely and works well and is just right for a single mug of coffee. It's the second purchase of this model due to accidentally breaking the glass on the previous one. Added bonus: it is dishwasher safe.

This is a great little cafetierre for a single use mug of coffee. No way will it do 3 cups of coffee though, as per the description (three espresso's easily!)

I've had the 3 cup Café Olé (sounds like Café Au Lait. Geddit?!) cafetière for a month and was using it ok. Due to its smaller size, you have to be careful with the plunger, as it has a tendency to swill the liquid over the lip, but slow and steady wins the race.Unfortunately, after a month of near daily use, the glass beaker has cracked in the dishwasher, which I accept might be "user error" rather than fault of the product. The description does not explicitly recommend against dishwasher use, but does recommend hand washing.

This product broke after the 3rd use! The metal frame came lose (looks like it is stuck together with glue as opposed to one piece or welded together). It ended up with smashed glass and coffee everywhere when trying to pour.Please read other reviews (wish I had!) as looks like it’s a common issue
