Wrongly labelled and as I need a hydrophobic filter not a hydrophilic these won’t work and are a waste

Sold as PTFE but received nylon filter, this is a very important distinction when doing any lab work requiring these filters. Chemical compatibility differs greatly if the membrane material is PTFE ( as the listing states ) versus Nylon-6 which is what the packaging of the product I received claims as the membrane material. Essentially, I received a package of filters that will dissolve in my carrier solvent of this particular application.Edit: They updated the listing however, be careful as nylon filter membranes are naturally hydrophilic ( i.e wettable by aqueous solutions ), and the listing now claims these nylon membranes are hydrophobic ( i.e wettable only with something like an alcohol or other organic solvent and would resist filtration of an aqeuous sample ), even if I had seen a hydrophobic nylon filter before, which I don't think I have though I'd love to be corrected, this would be poorly suited for aqueous samples as it would create high backpressure even if pre-wetted with an alcohol. Buy with caution.
