A wonderful read!!!
This book is a delightful read, but it is also well researched and provides the reader with a little Texas history lesson as we navigate the author's "guide" to being a Texan. I found myself chuckling at times and very frequently found myself nodding and saying, "that's right"! Every native Texan will thoroughly enjoy this book and every transplanted Texan needs this book!

Very educational for non-Texans!
I bought this book as a birthday present for my aunt, who was born and raised in Texas. She currently lives in Huntsville, just north of Houston. She loves it, and leaves it on her coffee table in plain sight so that foreigners (e.g. people from Oklahoma or Louisiana) can get a quick education regarding their strange new environment.

Fixin' to buy this?
How to Be a Texan: The Manual...... It was fun, but seemed to lack direction. BUT, if you know or love a Texan and want to better understand what makes him tick, this may be just the book for you.
