I've been curious about this kind of device after hearing them advertised on the radio. It's supposed to help you poop by relaxing one of the muscles that keeps your rectum closed, so you have to push or strain less. What it feels like when you put your feet up on it is that the whole general area is relaxed and open, and very little pushing is required to defacate. This is based on only a few trials and I will update this review after using it for a longer time. This device also didn't come with any instructions. Assembly wasn't a problem because it was simple and intuitive, but it would have been nice to include some information on how this works and why you would want to use it.

I saw an advertisement for one of these squatty potties several years ago but had never tried one until now. I can't speak to the physiological benefits of this device, but I can say the quality of the materials is great and it's super easy to assemble. Sturdy enough to be used as a stepstool

This is a nice, sturdy, stool that looks great. The hardware and tools are included. It is easy to assemble - just 4 screws into holes that have a threaded insert in them. The screws seem a little thin but they held the legs onto the top good enough to easily support my approximately 190 lbs doing a slight shimmy on it to see if there was any flex. This tucks nicely in front of the toilet when not in use and my 5'4" wife really likes having a stool in the bathroom to reach the higher shelves. The minimalist design should wipe down nicely when time comes for cleaning, too.

This is a great tool for the bathroom. It came unassembled but it's easy to put together. It fits around the base of the toilet well so you don't trip on it.

It's just as pictured, a piece of wood that you connect to two metal bars via 4 screws total.I took a star off because the edges of the wood are very sharp. They should have used a router bit to round the edges all around the top edge.I'm gonna have to sand the edges down. Pretty blatant oversight, I gotta say.
