Tony Chachere's More Spice Seasoning (Single 7oz)

Great base seasoning for any dish. I especially like it on chicken. Even though this is one up from what would be the base, I dont find it too spicy. I'm from New England so we don't have too much hot spice up here. It is a bit salty so be careful when you add it to other ingredients. This with extra hot sauce is a great combo. Also it is good on shrimp.

This is THE BEST. This is our main go to seasoning when when we want some spice. We use it while cooking and set it on the table with the salt and pepper. (if you use this you won't need the salt) We use it on scrambled eggs. We make popcorn on the stovetop in peanut oil, then use this instead of salt or butter. Even my four year old daughter LOVES it. GREAT STUFF!

Hmmm, if you haven't tried Tony's before... you must! Right now! The spice is one I grew up with, and it absolutely goes with EVERYTHING. My mom made pasta dishes, chicken, steaks, roasts, etc etc etc with this my entire childhood, and everyone always was wowed by her "secret" ingredient. I have inherited that secret and continue to get the same satisfied ooo's and ahhh's from my guests. Best part of the "more spice" version, is that it is much harder to ever over salt your dishes! i HAVE BEEN USING THIS SEASONING FOR ABOUT 35 YEARS, BUT IT IS NOT DISTRIBUTED IN MEXICO OR BRAZIL WHERE i HAVE LIVED FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS, AND EVERY TIME I WOULD GO TO THE USA, I COULD ONLY FIND A COUPLE, 1-3 CONTAINERS IN ANY SUPERMARKET I WENT TO, SEEMS THEY HAVE A DISTRIBUTION PROBLEM AND CANT KEEP IT ON THE SHELF. SO NOW I HAVE 12 LARGE CONTAINERS. WE USE IT MAINLY ON OUR POPCORN WHICH WE MICROWAVE DRY AND PUT OLIVE OIL AND TONY ON IT, TRY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT. ALSO USE IT ON ALL CRUSTACEANS AND FISH, DONT ADD ANY SALT TO THE FOOD, JUST TONY. DICK VOGT

This is my ideal popcorn seasoning. I love the spicey pepper mix, but be aware that this stuff is also incredibly salty. Hotness: very mild; (for comparison I consider TABASCO brand Pepper Sauce - Original Red 12 oz. to be mild) Saltyness: very salty; treat this like pure salt and you won't be surprised. My standard spice test is to put some in Top Ramen Noodles Chicken 3 oz. (12-Pack) . The pepper side of this spice works great there, but the extra salt piled on top of Ramen's already salty flavor packet makes for a VERY salty dish. Definitely try this first to help you gauge it's effect before serving. The saltiness will likely be surprising. Once you know about the salt, though, it's pretty easy to use this tasty spice to good effect. If you don't want any salt, try Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning White Pepper Blend 8 oz . It's not the same pepper taste, but it's similar.

Great on grilled chicken, burgers, seafood, pasta salad, etc. Nice "Louisiana kick" to any dish. Much prefer the More Spice version - can use less, & thus add less salt to cooking. Used in moderation, will NOT be too spicy for even the most bland customers. Been using for years; should be a critical part of every cook's repertoire.

Best all purpose seasoning out there! I have been using the regular version for many years. I couldn't find it locally years ago and actually called the company (way before Amazon) and they were so great! I ordered a case (12 I think) and gave as gifts and used for years. Then I could find it locally and started buying locally. Now I can't find it again. I switched to the "More Spice" version so I can control the salt content. I LOVE this so much, I feel like I almost can't cook without it! When I run out I am using 5-6 spices to try to duplicate.

J'avais d'abord acheté et essayé le très pimenté (base entourée de dessins de flammes). Bon mais l'intensité impose d'en mettre vraiment très peu. Celui ci, d'intensité intermédiaire, est plus facile à utiliser et à gouter. Pas trop et bien agréable sur la plupart des plats.

Very excellent seasoning spices. Very good for adding taste and flavour for food during cooking.
