IMPRESSED!
Great jacket in all respects-----quality, design, fit, materials. Fit just as expected (roomy, true to "stated size"). Definitely recommended!

Nice basic work or yard jacket
For someone who typically wears large jackets, I found the sleeves to be a bit short. Otherwise, this was a good jacket.

Perfect all-purpose ranch style jacket for work or casual wear.
I spent last winter and the beginning of this winter trying to find a new good all purpose jacket by hitting up the malls, sporting goods stores, Cabelas/Bass Pro, and some work and ranch-wear stores. I eventually found this one online and was hesitant since I couldn't see it in person because no stores carried it, but it turns out it was worth the gamble and fits the bill perfectly. The Maverick is an ideal all-purpose ranch style jacket but without a bunch of extra crazy pockets, zippers, or buttons/snaps. Instead it just has a nice, clean style. It's got a regular back versus the bi-swing back on their Outlaw jacket (check out the Amazon review on that one by someone else to see the pictures of the back), so it's better suited for casual wear in addition to work. It's still very functional with the two standard exterior pockets with hidden snap closures along with three inner pockets - one snap-closure pocket on the inner right side and a combo pocket on the inner left side that's got a smaller snap-closure pocket along with the larger open-top one. There's no exterior chest pockets but I prefer that because it's just simpler looking that way and I never use them anyways. It has a light lining so it's a little warmer than a thin jacket or windbreaker, but not as warm as or as bulky and stiff as some of the heavier Carhartt jackets. I also like that the waist falls a bit below the belt-line, not too low to where it's one of those longer jackets but long enough that it looks right when worn over an untucked shirt. It also doesn't have a bunched up elastic waist like some jackets. There are snaps for you to to adjust the wrists and waist a bit so you can have them relaxed or a bit more snug if you want. The sizing is what I expected; I'm 5'10" with a thin to average build and the large was just right. I think if I were any taller/larger than what I am now I might need to go up to an XL. I had to Google some more pictures of it to get a better idea between the two colors before I ordered since they looked so similar on the Amazon listing, and the Tobacco is a nice dark brown while the Khaki is more of a lighter tan as you'd expect. The Amazon price was awesome because at the time I purchased mine the Tobacco in large was only $55. In fact, since I think I've found my ideal jacket, I might buy a second one as a backup while the price is that low in case anything happens to this one and they get discontinued or go up in price.

Very nice!
I needed a new coat and usually trend towards Carhartt products, but thought I'd give this DRI DUCK coat a try...and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The quality of this coat is at least as good as the several Carhartt's I've owned, and maybe even a bit nicer and all at a better price. It's a tough, well made coat that can be used for chores or as a work coat, but still looks good enough to wear out on the town.

An improvement on the Carhartt Detroit?
I've owned this jacket since early February 2022 and so far it seems just fine. But...As usual there are a couple of disappointing features. None too serious. Maybe my biggest gripe would be the lack of zippered inner pocket which would make for a much more secure place to stash a cell-phone and a wallet or any other possession you may not wish to lose should you be traveling over rough winter back-country or, as I often do, often remove the jacket while attempting to refresh yourself in a trail-side stream. The cost of a cell-phone is rather steep rather steep and there are no secure storage features on the Maverick. Another slight defect for me might be a much too loose waist which I repaired with a couple of additional buttons. But overall I see this as a significant upgrade to the contemporary Carhartt Detroit. Hands down.

Excellent work jacket
I never minded paying a premium for the Carhartt name until I found this jacket. These are much more comfortable out of the box, and feel like a Carhartt that has been worn daily for six months.Great quality and actually is very comfortable to wear. Try any of the DRI Duck products. You won't regret it!
