Modus [DVD]

The idea of a religious maniac bent on killing homosexuals could have been turned into a very frightening and thought-provoking film. But this isn't it. Just as Rambo suddenly acquires advanced weapons systems out of thin air, this US marine fiery angel conjures up electric drills to make holes in cars (though the purpose served by these holes still eludes me), he can magically enter a rubbish processing plant in a city where he has never been, and there dispose of a a corpse on a conveyor belt which he is magically able to operate. Almost every premise on which the film is based, almost every situation, is either implausible or downright idiotic. Awful stuff.

Brilliant. English subtitles.I read the reviews on Amazon, I think that the reviews make Modus sound terrible. But it’s absolutely, compulsory watching.Edge of the seat suspense.Just great.

Very disappointed,generally enjoy this genre, the plot was puerile and in the end preposterous. The twist; I went to buy Christmas presents in New York and while I was there hired an ex marine fundamentalist member of a bizarre anti gay sect from Texas as a hit man?Very plausible.Not to mention the Buffy powers exhibited by the teeny tiny academic in the finale.The exhibition of a naked old man as the art for the art show was classic too.

Don’t believe this dvd is new - fluff inside the case and minor scratches on two of the three discs.

I am a huge fan of Nordic Noir, and this is OK but not among the best as it lacks pace (you're not on the edge of your seat).
