Great for reading my school textbooks
Reviewing after having it for a bit.Overall I love it for reading my school textbooks and other books.Addressing a few well reviewed items:1. Whiteness of the screen- Yes it is pretty grey compared to some others. This doesn't bother me honestly as it massively saves my eyes from hours of reading a textbook.- I read at a desk with a monitor light (BenQ) with the backlight off and it is great. See attached photo.- Unless you have a direct light, or turn the backlight on, it can be difficult reading in a room on the dim side.2. Colors- Colors are not fantastic, but that is not the reason I bought it.- For textbooks, graphs and colored text are great to have and it helps things pop out.- For manwa and the like, its not great. Will never beat the experience on the phone (see attached photos). There are adjustments you can make to the colors, but the camera processing actually makes it look better than it is lol. One attached photo has a backlight and the other my top monitor light.3. Ghosting- Following the comment about Manwa and ill include manga. Reading with ghosting is annoying to me, but you can get used to it, though it will need to be on HD and refresh a lot to minimize it.4. Play Store- Play store is great. Since all my textbooks tend to be with VitalSource, I have to use the Bookshelf app to view my books. Would be great if they were epub or similar, but ill take the app too.5. Battery Life- Yes it burns through battery much faster than a normal/typical e-reader.- Because I use a monitor light and have the backlight off, I usually recharge every few days if I notice it getting low. Not an issue as I just plug it in while doing a study session.Overall again I love it!Its fast and I always wanted a larger screen.

Solid 4.5 stars if it fits your use case
This is good for someone that wants an color eink tablet with android running on it. Great for installing Kindle, one note, and basic web browsing (ie Firefox with extensions). Also deals well with epub so you can put textbooks and reference books on it, which you can then mark up with pen. As it's android based, it can also run a music app in the background and the tablet speakers are decent for its size.Use cases where you should skip* This will be your only tablet... Get an iPad or android tablet. More bang for buck overall* You primarily an ebook reader. Other dedicated ones have much better battery life. This one with web browsing is probably 12-16 hours non stop use. With reading local books, it'll be longer.Other cons* Definitely a bit on the pricey side but there really isn't much other options out there if you want an android eink tablet* Don't expect to be able to watch videos... You kind of can but at that point your phone is better.* Pen doesn't come with built in eraser. But boox note apps do support scrible erase* If you use ultrafast mode, you get more ghosting. This doesn't bother me per say but may some people. I tend to have default on ultra fast, note taking on ultra HD, and books on regal speed* Built in note app is responsive but you need to export to get stuff out to other apps. There's no other native way to see your notes outside of boox. Onenote is OK on here... But lag definitely more noticeable (ie Probably like original surface tablet lag) . If you use onenote, just usable for basic note taking in my mind here.* Screen a bit darker than other eink tablet due to this supporting colors. You have to set light to around 60% min to make it feel normal, hence hit on battery mentioned above.

A Versatile E-Ink Tablet with Some Room for Improvement
The BOOX Note Air 3 C is a robust E-Ink tablet that excels in several key areas, particularly for those who love reading ebooks. Its 10.3" ePaper display provides a comfortable and eye-friendly reading experience, making it a pleasure for extended reading sessions. The tablet's lightweight design and responsive interface add to its appeal as a dedicated ebook reader. However, there are a few areas where the Note Air 3 C could see improvement. Users may find the persistent ghosting issue somewhat annoying, as it can detract from the clarity of the display, especially when transitioning between pages or apps. Additionally, when it comes to viewing comics or full-page photos, the experience can be less than ideal. There's often a need to make multiple adjustments to fit the content properly on the screen, which can be cumbersome.PDF handling also mirrors the issues seen with comics; the navigation and resizing tools may require some finesse to get the most out of your documents. This can be a setback for those who frequently work with PDF files. On the brighter side, the Note Air 3 C's drawing capabilities and built-in text recognition AI are excellent. Artists and note-takers alike will appreciate the stylus's precision and responsiveness. The AI does a fantastic job of converting handwriting to text, making this tablet a powerful tool for students and professionals who need to take digital notes effectively. In conclusion, the BOOX Note Air 3 C is an excellent choice for ebook aficionados and digital note-takers, thanks to its superb writing feel and advanced features. However, users who frequently view comics, full-page images, or PDFs might find the experience lacking due to the need for frequent adjustments. Despite these flaws, it remains a robust E Ink tablet market contender.
