This is the first time that I have obtained a more 'professional' type of these makeup kits. I can say that it is is definitely a MUCH better product than some of the junk that I have picked up at Walmart in the past. And the one time before that I did try to purchase spirit gum from a costume shop, it cost almost as much as this entire kit alone. I had some fun attempting to recreate bruises - wish I had a good quality one to post but I was in practice mode. I wasn't as thrilled with the fake blood itself - I've been on the hunt for something that comes out a deeper red - this was more pinkish - or perhaps I just didn't use enough. It was pretty sticky. Overall I really think this a good product and will give you good results. Much better than the cheaper brands or trying to do special effects with plain old eyeshadow!

I like how many items this kit includes to get a beginner started with some horror makeup. I actually have had training in SFX makeup years back and know how to use it, but the stipple sponge and bruise wheel with green are key to getting the looks one needs for a realistic bruise. The scar wax and stage blood are good quality. And the spirit gum helpful to remove the makeup.

This kit was decent for halloween

This is a cool kit for beginners learning to do do wounds and gore for stage makeup. It has all of the tools that you need, and looks good when you're done. It's not too expensive, so it it OK to learn and experiment with until you get good at it. Fun for teenage kids to use for Halloween.

I used the blood in the kit - and it worked great! It is super sticky though, so it will get everywhere if you're not careful. There's enough here to get you started, and while it's no hwere near Ben Nye, it's serviceable for Halloween and amatuer theatre productions. I'm especially happy it came with Spirit Gum because I often need it for costumes at times of the year that are not Halloween.

I liked this kit. It came with all the basics to make a great Halloween or any costume look. Great for beginners or intermediate users. The quality was good and comparable to any party city or spirit offering.

Oh this is SO fun! This is an excellent little kit. I had to make myself stop playing with it so we'd have some left for Halloween. The quality here is great. The colors in the palette go on perfectly, they blend gorgeously. You can create a very realistic bruise in under a minute. The coagulated blood goes on very well, great consistency & just the right amount of stick. I can go piece by piece but it's all fun, good quality stuff.I use this mainly for my kids. Year after year, my husband will by them those ridiculously overpriced little kits sold right next to whatever specific costume you pick, so if you're a vampire there's some white, red, and black face paint, a bad pair of teeth, and some silly looking blood. I couldn't stand it anymore so I ordered this & now my family finally understands the difference! This kit is less expensive yet far superior- when is that ever the case?! Do yourself a favor & order this, you really don't need experience to create some very cool looks. And it's a surprisingly fun thing to do with your kids haha!

This was my first time outside of middle school theater class using spirit gum and stuff. Used it for Halloween and it looked good, the coagulated blood looks and feels realistic, also made my house look like a crime scene with blood drops and bloody fingerprints hahaI would highly recommend looking up a few videos first. Mt first attempt was a bit of a mess.
