Effective link to Evernote
The Whitelines Link app digitizes pages very well into Evernote -- hold your phone with camera until the app draws a box around the area inside the printed corner symbols on the page, then snaps a shot. It fixes the geometry (such as keystoning), fades out the background lines or dots, and uploads if you have marked the square on the page dedicated to Evernote (or dropbox). The paper is decent for fountain pens with fine points, such as Pilot Prera; there is some show-through even though this paper is cited as "ink proof". Compared to Evernote Moleskine notebooks which I also have tried, these are more expensive -- after adjusting for the value of the Evernote Premium subscription included with the Moleskine.Overall I will be buying these (in larger size) instead of the Moleskine alternative because of the Whitelines Link app. (The Android version is not available for tablets at this writing, but it works great on my Samsung Note 2 phablet.)

Great Notebook, not so impressed with the whitlines app
I think that It is a great notebook, It feels great in the hand and the paper is pretty good. I was less impressed with the whitelines system. Much of my writing when done in pencil(mechanical pencil with B lead so a nice dark line) would come out blurry and/or faint. It was not quite as bad when I used a pen. I did not see any benefit over using Evernote's built-in camera(that can also detect pages and correct for some angle in the photo) or just taking pictures with the Google Keep app. I will definitely be buying more Leuchtturnn1917 notebooks, but not with the whitelines system.

Classic quality with a digital twist.
I really like this journal. Have been looking for something with quality paper, binding and hard covers. This journal has it all. It is simply pleasant to write on its pages. One added bonus that I really didn't think I would care about is the Whitelines Link app. I especially like this app that is available to digitize the pages. There is usually information in my journals that I don't want to share with anyone so I tend to not share anything. This app allows me to scan and share just the portions I want to without people being able the view the whole book. Great feature.

A nice notebook but there are others that I like just as well.
I like this notebook but I don't think it is necessarily superior to the Moleskine or Rhodia notebooks. I write with a fountain pen and there is very little bleed through with this notebook. I don't find the white lines to be particularly useful but it is fun to have something a little different.

Size does matter. And this one is too small.
It's really small. Difficult to use it for anything other than keeping a task list.

Super paper and great for fountain pens
Superb, i use a Cross fountain pen...got through 12 pages of my Moleskin and surrendered due to bleed and shadow. Bought this and copied all of my notes across..beautiful paper quality, no bleedthrough or shadows. The scan facility in the app is fantastic. Only buying these from now.
