I'd like to lock and unlock doors on a timer. I have a 12V timer, what's the recommended method of connecting the timer to this power supply?

Positive terminal out from unit to timer. Timer out to lock. This way the timer determines when lock gets voltage. Unless you plan on plugging the entire unit to a timer? If I had more info I'm sure I can help.

Does the yuhan power supply control for door access entry system have a low battery shutoff to prevent severe battery discharge?

Sounds like the battery is not fully charged and you don't have the 115v AC line connected. The AC line need to be connected in order to charge the battery for it to be your backup power. Not designed to work with battery alone.
