Mark of the Fool 5 is the fifth book in A Progression Fantasy Epic series by J. M. Clarke.Ending the book right there? Treachery and emotional manipulation of the highest order. Something that I believe every reader has been waiting and willing to happen from the moment it became even a possibility. Little hints sprinkled throughout until they evolved into mountains of near certainty.On another note, it is relieving to have some defined points regarding dungeon cores, the Ravener, and Uldar himself. Still far more questions and uncertainties have arisen with a certain earth shaking and faith shattering discovery. It was a letdown the blue hag's plan to reveal the spy that snuck in their midst did not come to fruition.But from that failure, a deeper bond and connection has grown between the Generasi researchers and the Heroes of Thameland. Which I believe will only bring more safety to Alex and the secret he hides from them. They're more likely to be forgiving now that it is obvious he has been fighting in his own way, all along.Yet, I am more concerned about the next Ravener guided attack against the Usurpers. How will the Generasi people prepare for it? Guard against it? When this one almost took them entirely by surprise. Pointing out the many breaches in their security they didn't even know to consider. With every more enemies building against them, or new 'allies' pretending to offer aid all while hiding their intentions..

Beware The Ravener and the evil plot it brews right under our feet. Follow Alex and the gang through more test, some tunnels, and some sticky/stoney predicaments. Overall we need to get stronger read along to find out how.

This book seemed to drag a bit with a seemingly plethora of superfluous details and tangents. The battle at the end was epic. The girlfriend and golem got major upgrades but the MC not so much. Over all a good read. I am looking forward to book 6.

This was another good book in the series. Although I thought the middle was a little slow with mostly filler. I look forward to reading the next one.

All the books in this series have been excellent, and the end of book 4 was a tough act to follow. This continues with a steady progression of the story and characters' abilities. The big events have had the groundwork laid well in advance, creating a well-built and exciting conclusion.

The story tension and mystery grows with each installment. A real page turner. One of the rare tales where one dreads and anticipates the resolution equally. As a voracious reader, I am so caught up in these moments I have trouble putting it down.

The author has done a great job, illustrating an image in my mind for the entirety of the series. wait for the next book and the following and the following and the following.

This series keeps getting better and better. Wonderful progression and development of characters.Still keeps me guessing about where it is going next

Was für eine gute Buchreihe, endlich mal ein MC der nicht durch dummes Glück oder irgendwelche sinnlosen Power Ups immer dem sicherm Tod durch die Finger gleitet.Sehr erfrischend ist auch das der Hauptcharakter sehr sympathisch und gut geschrieben ist und keine Gottkomplexe innerhalb der ersten paar Bücher entwickelt.Ein weiter dicker Pluspunkt sind auch die Nebencharaktere die allesamt auch nach längerer Pause alle wiedererkannt werden, dadurch daß sie alle zur Geschichte beitragen und nicht nur netter Ballast sind um zu zementieren wie wichtig und toll der Hauptcharakter ist.Meiner Meinung nach eine der besten Buchreihen des Genres.

I loved this entire series. The characters are perfectly protrayed and interesting. The stories move at a good pace and kept my interest up. I am really excited to see what comes up next. Loved it

Great installment in this series, must read!I won't spoil it for anyone, but I can't imagine anyone reading the first books to not read this one. Keeps getting better!
