NASALCROM SPR .88OZ (Pack of 2)

This is a nasal spray that's been around forever (active ingredient cromolyn). It seems that few doctors know of it. What it does is "stabilize the mast cells"; my unscientific understanding is that stable mast cells help quell allergy symptoms. It works for me. The steroid nasal sprays, such as Flonase work differently, and often lead to nose bleeds if used daily; cromolyn does not lead to nose bleeds. The downside of cromolyn is that you need to use it for 7 days before it starts to work and then you need to use it daily. There are decongestant nasal sprays that are quite helpful and immediate acting, but they have a strong "rebound" effect after 2 or 3 days - so you can't use them for allergy control. I use NasalCrom at half (2x daily) the recommended dose (4x daily).You can also get cromolyn eye drops for itchy eyes, but in that form it is prescription only. I started a prescription for eyes and it took care of my persistent problem quite well. Then I started using the nasal spray for stuffy nose and sneezing. I stopped using the eye drops, but my itchy eye did not return! I'm guessing that because the sinuses connect eyes and nose, the nasal spray was able to also quell my itch eyes. Nice stuff!So why don't you hear about cromolyn (NasalCrom)? As a nasal spray it went over-the-counter ages ago, so there's no benefit to advertising and selling it. I have used this product ever since it first came on the market. It always manages well both my seasonal URI and eye allergies. Highly recommend this product.

Love it! Works great for my Oak pollen allergy. I watch the pollen counts and start about a week prior to elevated levels then stop around 2-3 months later when the Oak pollen drops. Three or four sprays daily in each nostril spread out throughout the day prevents runny nose and congestion. No side effects after using it for years other than an occasional minor sore throat easily remedied by drinking or eating something. No feeling tired or strange like you might get from some oral meds. Keep in mind this is just for sinus relief. It is not a decongestant, it desensitizes you to whatever allergen you're breathing in. This will not stop other symptoms such as burning or iching eyes or skin some people can get from airborne allergies.

This product works great for indoor/outdoor allergies like dust, mold, etc. I use it right before I am going to be exposed to dust, mold, etc. It's an antigen blocker. I have many allergies and this is the best product I have ever used so that I can continue with cleaning and gardening, etc. My allergy doctors' nurse recommended it and I love it.I highly recommend it.

I've use NasalCrom for years and this is a competitive price for the real thing. It takes a couple of days to become effective but if you catch a cold in the early stages, it will greatly reduce congestion later. Also works great throughout allergy season with no rebound when stopped.
