Solid/sturdy little stick. Wish they made a longer one

It works as expected but is not compatible with the Media mod, there is no space.

I have to say I wish I had this years ago for my Hero4, Hero,9 but I’ve go I now for my Hero11. It’s so easy to use and using it for action videos is great. I do a lot of off-roading and when taking videos of people 4wheeling I’m able to walk to rocks and get up close. When moving from under a vehicle to up above it the transition is amazing. Great product.

This action camera extension pole is pretty compact in size, but still extends as long as 29 inches. Fully collapsed can be as small as 7-1/2 inches long. Instead of having to twist multiple turns to tighten up the pole after adjusting, you simply twist clockwise about 1/16 of a turn and the pole segments lock in place. The adjustments seem to hole pretty securely so you won't have to worry about slipping. The bottom mount for a leash unscrews to reveal a threaded 1/4-20 tripod mount so you can also use this with a tripod or feet if desired. The bottom grip has a nice EVA foam grip which is comfortable and won't get hot to the touch if left out in the sun. Fully extended to 29 inches this still feels stiff and stable.

I had high hopes for this pole but it didn't last. The pole seemed lightweight and decent construction. Unfortunately where they cut corners is where you cant see. The guts of the pole that hold it at different lengths are all really low grade plastic. I used it as a Gopro stand. Half way through my first trip using it, the pieces would completely spin 360 degrees. NOT what it is supposed to do. The locking mechanism was already worn out. So while reviews here are positive, I am willing to bet it is based on first impressions, not real usage. I will break down and buy the Gopro specific pole as it is much more stout. I would not buy this pole again.
