I was searching for an inexpensive grinder, specifically for espresso, as I knew it was possible to acquire one that could grind just as well as a $200+ unit. I came to this conclusion as I have a wonderful manual conical burr grinder made by Hario that grinded beans unbelievably consistent and it cost less than $40. The only problem, of course, is it is manual and not conducive to a fast and efficient work flow. I've also owned one of those expensive grinders and find it difficult to believe that it performed any better or at least didn't notice any perceptible difference in the final cup.*** *** ***I purchased this SOWTECH grinder, soley based on reviews and features and so far, I am not disappointed. For my personal requirements, these are the features and attributes that makes this machine perfect:-Most importantly, it grinds CONSISTENTLY.-Easy to clean.-Can be operated without the grind container, allowing me to hold my portafilter under it.-Single dose grinding is effortless. (No need to leave the hopper full of coffee beans, which can make them lose freshness quicker. This thing will literally grind one bean if you want it to within the shortest grind time available, thanks to the conical burrs and feeder design).-The power button will start and stop your grind, allowing essentially manual control. (Some similar grinders will not stop grinding until the preset time has lapsed)-Controls are a simple physical dial and button-Will grind more than fine enough for espresso, which assures you've got wiggle room to experiment with your grind size for different beans and extraction techniques.-Powerful and fast, yet quiet.-Compact design. I have been using this Burr Grinder for the past week and I am very happy with it so far. It is easy to use, has many grind settings, and produces consistent and uniform coffee grounds. I haven't tried it for making cold brew yet but the coffee has been great in my drip coffee maker, I just set the grinder setting and push a button. The grinder has also been easy to clean, it comes with a scooper and brush. My last coffee grinder still works but it wasn't burr and the hopper was too small for making a large pot. This unit is quieter and faster than my last grinder and more precise. It grinds the beans to the exact coarseness or fineness that I want, my last unit i would have to look at the beans as they were grinding to see when to stop. I found that the easiest thing I was able to do to get better tasting coffee was getting this grinder. The coffee tastes amazing every time, with no bitterness or sourness. The grinder is also compact, and fits nicely on my kitchen counter matching my other appliances.

I purchased this product, a brand I'd never heard of, based on the strength of other reviews here on Amazon. I love the quality of ground beans that this produces, and the wide (and precise) array of options for grind size. We use this both for preparing decaf espresso drinks and for brewing large urns filled with freshly ground coffee. I was most impressed by how this small grinder performed when we needed to grind 5lbs of beans in it, in one morning, recently. The only thing I don't like about this is that ground beans tend to spill out of the grinder after the container that catches ground beans is removed. This plastic container fits tightly within the larger plastic casing of the product, so you have to remove these spilled ground beans before you can reassemble it. This might work best if you tap the grinder a few times before removing the container with freshly ground beans.The thing I like best about this is that the coffee produced from beans ground in this grinder is delicious. It's noticeably better than coffee made from the same beans using a hand-crank grinder, which was also a lot of work to use. If you're considering a hand-crank grinder, and you have access to electricity, just buy this one instead. It works wonders!
