Direct Sound DJ Headphones, Black, Over Ear (EX25 Plus)

While I love these headphones and they do cancel out a lot of sound, the build quality is very poor. The foam cushions are stuck on with two small strips of weak double sided tape. After a week the cushions repeatedly come unstuck and fall off. I think for the money this kind of production flaw is just not acceptable. I shouldn't have to cobble together and stick my headphones back together each time I take them out of my bag. Come on guys, you have a good product here potentially, get your act together.

Great headphones for my home recording setup

Drect sound EX25 Extreme Isolation Headphones.ionly had them for a short time as the head band snapped while i was doing studio work at home it was unbelievable as i am always in the studio these were the best sounding headphones i have ever used and i am so disappointed in theDirect sound EX25 Extreme Isolation Headphones product i have already notified amazon they say that a new headband is being sent out it's the complete headphones i would like not just the headband my work is on hold untill they send me a replacement pair of Direct sound EX25 Extreme Isolation Headphones i hope they send them out as my work depends on these headphones i'm only disappointed because the headband should never have snapped for now i have to give it a one star rating sorry guys.

Firstly I purchased these over two years ago for one reason, to wear while flying.11 hours wearing them on a 747 is no problem, the fact they passively block noise by having a good seal to your head is enough to cut off the drone, I could wear them for longer (and 2/3rds of all flight times I'm sleeping in them).They don't need batteries like more expensive ANR nonsense ones do, and they don't seem to draw too much power, iPhone 3gs does 12 hours and then some while playing music through them.They fold down into a pretty compact position, good for throwing in your luggage when you get there.I have been wearing these on long haul flights and then at least 3 times a week sat at a desk for the last 2+ years and mine are still like new. I cannot agree with the other reviews that the construction is flimsy, it is fit for purpose. If you want some cans you can wear during your work or leisure time as a crash test dummy, and not have the break, may I recommend a set of Peltor Comtacs?

EDIT: my mistake, this review is for the Direct Sound Ex-29Noise insulation would be quite good, around 25 DB I'd say, but the very poor quality of the thin plastic head arms (yes, no metal) make this item almost useless and not worth the money. After 1 day I broke one side (and I was careful), after 3 days the other. I gave up repairing them and will buy a different brand.
