Great upgrade for my bike - but also <2.4 inches in width
I was looking to replace the tires on my bike and had been using a Maxxis Minion DHF as the front tire. In my research, I found that some people were running the Forekaster up front instead, and many users noted that it was significantly faster than the DHF. In my experience, yes, the Forekaster is definitely faster due to less rolling resistance. It also seems a bit more squirrely than the DHF, but I am still very happy with the upgrade overall. The tradeoff in traction/speed was definitely worth it, and I haven't noticed any issues with cornering.I will note that the tire is definitely not 2.4 inches in width when inflated to ~20 PSI in my tubeless setup. My caliper says that the width is actually 2.34 inches, or 59.4mm. This isn't a problem for me as my previous tire was also ~2.3 inches.

Performed well on loose, wet, muddy, gravel and slippery tree roots
I’ve ridden this tire only once and it was for a race that went from dry to raining. The terrain changed quickly and there was no issue with this tire on the front.

My personal favorite tire
Use the forecaster Maxxis on the rear of all my MT bikes I e owned I. The last couple years. Not over heavy or to much grip. Just tight. Fast rolling is what I like. I ride single track in New England it’s not flow at all. Other model tire feel sluggish to me
