A well-made if spartan unit
This unit replaced a previous one from the same manufacturer that had an 11W (9W?) tube in it. I probably wouldn't have replaced it except that the transformer had started running quite warm. Still, it had been in continuous service for nearly nine years, with a toothbrush charger permanently plugged in the 240V socket. The new one was therefore rather easier to fit than if I'd bought another product, since all the holes lined up. I did look at one or two others, but either the socket was not permanently live or people were worried that the cord for the pull switch perhaps took a long route to the switch inside the unit, and therefore might be liable to fray.I can confirm that in this unit, the cord goes directly to the switch; there is less than an inch of cord inside. It's true that it is necessary to unscrew the LED board in order to get at the wall screw-holes and the connector bloc. However, on examining the board, it seemed to me that the power connections to the board would be sturdy enough to just let the board hang down while mounting the unit and making the electrical connections, so that is what I did, with no problems. A second person to assist was therefore not needed. When on, the LEDs are bright points of light. I'd advise against looking at them when lit. However, with the diffuser in place, one cannot see points of light at all, and a pleasant light is then emitted. It could be said that some other fittings are more attractively designed. However, this one is very practical and satisfactory. I removed the faux chrome ends as they seemed a bit gaudy to me.

replacement for a now extinct linolite unit.
Well made. Very similar style to the olde linolite units which used a tubular tungsten lamp.Colour temp is a wee bit higher colour temp I’d say than the spec’d 3000K; but fine nonetheless. Light output is excellent, about the same as a 60watt tunsten tube, if not slightly higher.Easy to install; although I found supplied screws a little too short and small gauge. I used my own #8 screws and a little longer length.Would I buy again - thus far yes.UPDATE...June 2019 - razor outlet died about two months ago. Naturally out of warranty, Would NOT buy another one of these lights.Reduced my rating to 2 stars at most. While it worked as designed (razor outlet fully functioning) it was OK. The light output is fine, but the razor outlet is unreliable - as one or two others have fond as well.Further update June 24th 2019Contacted vendor here (via Amazon of course) after checking on the Eterna website about this unit. Discovered it has a 5yr warranty. Contacted EW here and advised them of it; and they contacted Eterna. End result the 5yr warranty was applied. Requested a refund and my orders data here reflects that being applied. However received a replacement unit instead... I was considering buying another to see if it would last the 5yrs - now that I know that's the warranty. So when the unrequested replacement arrived - decided to keep it rather than return and secure a refund. The unit is advertised on Eterna and here as warm white (3000k); which it isn't. I checked the colour temperature with a meter and it's a tad over 5200K; more like cool white and a colour temperature one might expect on a bright overcast day at noon.I've advised EW to update their info here re' warranty and the colour temperature. EW say they will contact Eterna - certainly about the colour temperature; and hopefully that will be amended. Also I trust that EW will update their warranty info to reflect 5yr rather than the one year as stated at time I bought my unit. EW confirmed that they are taking on board my comments in assorted emails to them; as just mentioned above.Nonetheless it's a decent light and a nice looking unit. The razor sockets are wee bit tight if using N.American razor/toothbrush etc. power cords; but OK with UK.EW came thorough after a wee nudge... and I have restored my rating to 4 stars; and give EW obvious credit for their attention and willingness to resolve the issues various. I would consider buying from EW again.

Bright LED Bathroom Light
This was a replacement for a 30 year old light that was becoming very hot when only been on a short while. It was easy to fit and wire up and covered all the old light fitting marks etc. The light was reasonably bright and remained cool in operation. Would buy another unit if needed.

Socket went defective after ONLY 10 uses.
The unit was OK to install but you would be advised to use a reliable electrician as opposed to an avid DIYer.Cable connections had to be swapped over as opposed to other similar light fittings. The internal light went u/s and the LED Light was used. The light was super brilliant which was great.Yesterday i went to charge my razor and the 250 volt socket would NOT hold the plug in at all. The plug was of the standard type that Panasonic and other razor manufacturers use. Whilst the 110 volt socket was used to charge the razor the fact that the socket (250) was possibly only used about 8 times it should have not gone defective at all.

Not quite right.
The package arrived in good time & was well wrapped. Item as described & in excellent condition.Opened the box & the instructions are a little sparse but sufficient. Laid out all the contents & started the install.Went in without too much trouble & worked as it should.Pros:well packed, speedy deliveryitem in excellent conditionCons:No mounting outline/diagram with drilling instructions (mark & re-mark to get it just right)Fiddly to fit - LED backplate has to be unscrewed to get to the Mains connectors & remains connected with two thin wires (be careful, chance to separate them!)Fiddly to hold: Very difficult to hold the light unit, the LED Backplate & then connect the Mains; then screw the unit into the wallWarm Light: - unit is about 3000k, so WARM WHITE, not DAY WHITE.

My light poor quality
Bought this item back in May 23 but only got it fitted yesterday. It didn’t work but I had another bulb from a previous light and it did work. The 2 pin razor point didn’t work either. The plug appeared to not go in far enough so was slack and the razor didn’t charge. Basically a poor quality product.
