Amazing!
The model is well built and feels sturdy enough. Love the lights! The bottom of the saucer could have used more paint details perhaps. Tip: the stand leg and base might feel like they don’t hold well together at first. If that’s the case, you didn’t actually connect them properly! Press the leg more strongly into the base until you hear clicks or just take a close look underneath the base to see if the little hooks are anchored. The stand will feel solid after that.

Well built model. If only they'll do the same for the stand!
This model of the NCC-1701-D looks really good and well built for its price, perfect companion to my NCC-1701-A. However, the stand that comes with it leaves much to be desired. The 2 pieces do not secure properly and often come loose. I'm considering super-gluing them together. As the ship is so wide compared to that single tiny pivot it sits on, it wobbles easily on the stand, so every time I press the buttons to trigger the sounds and lights, it just wobbles on and on and on. Real frustrating. But apart from this, I love this model from Playmates.

LOVE this model!!! Great value for the price!
Bought this model as a Christmas gift for my Trek obsessed son and let me say... This model is the hit of the year. He is in love and so am I. It's BIG! It's loud! It lights up! The saucer section detatches! It looks phenomenal on a shelf and is incredibly stable on its delta/communicator badge shaped base. So many other smaller, less detailed, less interactive, less cool models are on the market for double and even triple the price. This is where it's at! LOVE this model!
