My original comment: I like everything about this toilet seat. It's perfect, as far as I can determine. HOWEVER, it did not fit my old American Standard "Plebe". Once it was bolted loosely in place, even sliding it as far forward as possible (before tightening the bolts), the front of the seat did not sufficiently cover the front rim of the toilet bowl. Sadly, that means it's of no use to me.Update: The seller responded with a nice message that perhaps I had installed the hinge (the part that attaches to the toilet bowl) backwards. This is definitely a possibility. There is a good chance that if I removed it, rotated it 180°, and reinstalled it, that would fix the problem. However, I have already returned the toilet seat so I cannot try this. But because I think it would work and they responded quickly, I will give them five stars.

Liked the comfort of seat. It seemed to contour to shape of bottom. Not hard or flat to sit on. The ease of installation was nice. Hope that it will stand up to heavier weight. It appears to be well designed.

The plastic screw threads and plastic nut and plastic wrench fail to tighten the seat so that it does not slide around. It has been tightened to the point it will tighten no more. Even then, the seat still slides left or right. Very disappointing. Do not recommend.Update: The company sent replacement hardware that uses metal bolts instead of the plastic bolts. This improvement solved the "sliding around" problem. If your toilet seat is sliding around, this seems to be the solution. I see the metal hardware is also sold separately on Amazon.

2nd update: The seller/manufacturer messaged me and gave me a full refund.Update: I tried to take the seat off the mounting bracket so I could see what size screws to get at Home Depot, and the whole thing just broke off in pieces. Ordered a toilet seat from Kohler instead.This toilet seat shifts around every time we use it and every time we open and close the lid. Very loose and there's no amount of tightening that works. I read another review where someone says they replaced the plastic screws with metal ones from a hardware store and that solved the issue of the seat moving around. Someone else says the manufacturer sent them metal screws. I contacted the manufacturer and never heard back, so I guess I have to take the mounting part apart and bring it with me to Home Depot to try and find screws that work. The whole thing is a pain and not worth the $60+.

After replacing many plastic and wooden toilet seat covers over the past 5 decades, I feel I could do it with my eyes closed. So, we had a wooden toilet seat that got scratched (don't know how) and stained (do know how, but the stains would not come off). So I decided to buy a Heavy Duty Plastic, Slow Close seat, and the "German Engineered" Halo seemed to fit the bill.After removing the old lid, I realized there were several steps to do before placing the new toilet seat on the commode. The ones I have done lately are a snap to replace, but maybe they are so easy because you have to do this every 4 or 5 years. For the Halo I had to do several steps just to get the holding bracket on the commode. But every part seemed substantial and should hold well after being installed. After the bracket was placed, not tightening too much, I put on the seat. Much to my surprise the seat was Very Easy to center, to perfectly center to the commode. Unbelievable!!! The seat stayed centered as I tightened down the bolts. So it still looks good and more than substantial. So far no slipping around "while reading the newspaper." I don't think I will ever have to replace this seat. AND My Wife Loves It!!!!!

I bought this toilet seat as it was advertised as "heavy duty". I am 6'4" and 300lbs. The seat did last for several months, but eventually broke.

I bought this toilet seat 10 months ago and have really liked it, but last week I closed it and as it was closing something popped and it slammed down. It no longer slow closes, which is important to me. It should have lasted longer than that for the price.I've revised this rating to 3 stars for now. I couldn't find any warranty information on Haro's website or any way to contact them, but their Customer Service reached out after I posted the above review, and at first wanted to send a replacement hinge, but then decided to just send me a whole replacement unit. I'm currently awaiting its arrival, and will likely update this to a 5 star review once I receive it. Honestly, I do really like the toilet seat, it is solid and it doesn't come loose and move around like so many toilet seats do, so I hope the slow close works fine on the new one.

This is more expensive option... Haro makes cheaper one that is junk like all the rest. This seat is ergonomic, comfortable, super durable, cleans easily, and keeps its shine looking new for years, slow drop seat and cover is god send
