I have a Honda civic 1998. It is a small car and I barely had enough wiring to make through the trim. They say they provide ten feet of wire. The problem is the length of wire between the transformer and the rearview mirror. It is insufficient. It worked on my very small car with nothing to spare.What killed the deal is that it drained my battery on the first use.Bottom line: BAD ENGINEERING

Says it's a 10 foot cable. OK sure, if you measure from the furthest tip of the connecting wire to the furthest tip of the plug it might stretch 10 feet, but you can't install it that way. The red/white wires before you get to the transformer box take up about 4 feet of that length, which you can't really use because then you end up with the cable stretched so tight you can't put the cover back on the fuse compartment and/or the transformer box ends up in the door rail where you wouldn't be able to shut your door, or if you're "lucky" you might be able to plunk that lovely thing right down on your dash board or glue it to the windshield to get it to your device. Maybe if you have a small car you'll love it though. It also had the wrong kind of fuse for my car, which is my fault for not checking the fuse box (who knew they'd changed fuse designs since I last bought a car!), so I couldn't even get my device powered up to see if it would work.

Works perfectly and has enough length. The tap a fuse wire and bare cable are two different Guage wire though. Better to solder and shrink tube then to use crimps.

Came neatly packaged and simple enough not to need instructions. Just need butt connector and crimpers.
