A really good buy
Lovely neat fit, comfortable fleecy lining. I am size ten and the small size is perfect - fit nicely on the waist with elasticated sides. Length is perfect - I am 5'4". Haven't worn them in the rain yet, so will have to update later re degree of waterproofing, but they look good and the photo doesn't do them justice.Update: They did well in the rain. The only time they did get a bit damp was one occasion when the rain was both torrential and horizontal.

The XXS was perfect. I still had enough room for laying fleece ...
Ordered these in 2 different sizes, an XS and XXS. I am 5'1" 110 lbs and have a 25 inch waist. The XS was to big in the crouch area making it look really saggy. The XXS was perfect. I still had enough room for laying fleece leggings and boots tucked in nicely around the ankle area. I don't recall if the description said it was waterproof but it sure did keep me dry and warm for my recent trip to Iceland.

Great inexpensive pants for the snow!
I got these for a trip to Yosemite during the winter. I can't stand the cut of regular snow pants and I wanted pants that I could tuck into my snow boots. These were inexpensive and perfect. I'm 5'5, 140lbs and I ordered a small & medium. The waist of the small size fit perfectly but I have big soccer thighs so they were a little snug in that area so I went with the medium although the waist on the medium was a little big, I wanted to have bit of movement for winter activities. With a belt, they worked fine. I also sat in the snow for about a half an hour and they proved to be pretty water resistant! I wore a base layer under these and they are very warm. The temps were about low 20's to mid 40's. You can feel the lower quality in the contruction but for someone that doesn't visit snowy areas very often, they were perfect. Overall, I was pretty impressed with these for the price and happy I didn't have to go with $160 North Face snow pants.

Good alternative to slacks
I actually bought these as alternative for work dress pants. I'm a field detective which means I may have to be out in the cold for hours. Layering can be a cumbersome part of the job in winter months. I looked at various active leggings etc, the problem is two fold with those, they are just too form fitting to be appropriate at work and they provide no belt loops for a belt and holster (despite what tv has you believe, few wear shoulder holsters). I hated the phase about 10 years ago when all dress pants were low and had wide waistbands requiring a super chunky fashion belt..holsters aren't designed for those types of belts. Now the fashion with dress pants is no belt loops. These fit relately well & a good pair of active tights underneath will help make them warmer when necessary. The waist is a bit loose though they fit in the thighs (but that's a problem with me with most pants). The rucheing in the knees provides movement & overall I'm happy with the purchase....hopefully they will provide the warmth I want. I'll order a few more after I see how these work out.

they are pretty slim fit but not skinny pants
I'm 4"9 and 100 lbs with thick legs, the xxs fit well , they are pretty slim fit but not skinny pants. I was able to tuck the pants into my ski boots comfortably. These will not fit over your ski/snowboard boot FYI. I took a fall skiing in them and didn't feel wet so they are pretty water resistant. They are loose enough to wear a thin pair of leggings. I skied in 27 degree sunny weather with no leggings under and was fine. Anything cooler I would wear a thin pair leggings under (which I had to do with all my other $$$ burton/roxy/north face ski pants anyway). I liked that they are higher wasted, they stay put and no snow in my pants. They are fleece lined so comfy. No zippered vents or bells & whistles but for 40$ these are nice!

Super happy with these pants
Super happy with these pants. I wanted something durable enough to withstand my novice snowboarding (i.e. a lot of time with my tail end sliding on ice and snow) but didn't want to spend a fortune. Loved the way these fit snugly and moved with me. Highly recommend for the casual wearer. They aren't 100% waterproof, but they did the job for several hours and are quite warm.
