D5D049 5 Bend Deck Mounted Swimming Pool Stair Rail

Because of our pool’s design, we had to mount the rail underwater on the Baja shelf vs on the deck. The rail is well-made and is a thick enough gauge so as not to flex at all when entering or exiting the pool. I hired an experienced tradesman to install it using a huge drill and bit to cut through the concrete to hold the two required ( but not included) mounting posts. The posts were cemented in place and a small amount of Pebbletec was used to patch where needed. Even though the rail placement is a bit unusual, we’re very happy with the results, quality and functionality of the handrail. I could not have done this job with my skill set. This photo was right after the pool was drained enough to drill into the Baja Shelf. After re-filling, the anchors are now underwater as is part of the lower rail. I could not mount the rail securely to the travertine stone encircling the pool deck.

We rented a machine from our local HD supply and drilled in our concrete 5 inches deep, set are anchors and cement which dried overnigh. The next day we put in the railing tighten the bolts and it was actually easier than I thought it would be. Definitely would recommend this product.

I had to send it back I could not get anything to mount it with. I was told they should be installed when a pool is built. The company kept sending us useless parts. I sent them all back and waiting for reimbursement

Needed it for our parents. Make sure you purchase the anchors. Can be removed for the winter.

My wife has had recently a hip replacement, this was very helpful and her rehabilitation over the summer to get in and out of the pool and enjoy the pool on her own.As far as installation goes, it took about four hours to core the two holes in the cool deck that was the hardest part.Great buy, I should’ve install one years ago!!

My wife had back surgery so I needed pool rails. These looked great and the pictured looked like it had a plate for mounting. I bought two. When the rails arrived there was no plate for mounting. I went back online and there was an anchor that related to the rails so I bought it. I wish the description was more clear for dummies like me that anchor did not come with rails. I paid $176 for two sets of anchors. When the anchors arrived they were huge and needed to go in the concrete. I called the manufacturer then emailed them. Some days later email from manufacture advised me that I needed another anchor. It was easy enough to go back to Amazon and arrange for a refund. I'd had it with these rails. Here is the terrible part of this story. I took the rails to UPS in the original boxes, one box I didn't even open. It cost me $287.06 to return to manufacturer. The two rails cost me $500 something. First time I fell like I got ripped off at Amazon and I realize it is a third party but still, it's a shiner on Amazon.

Needed a handrail for us older people & it suits the purpose. Guess we need to tighten it down a bit as it is a bit wobbly
