Works great with my Longer LK5 Pro
I'm new to 3D printing. I have a Longer LK5 Pro, which is the only 3D printer I've ever used. That printer seems to work very well, but with as little experience as I have, what do I know? The one thing I've struggled with so far is getting my prints off of the glass bed once they're done. I'd read about all sorts of problems people have getting their prints to stick to the print bed. I had the opposite problem...prints stuck to the bed so firmly that I struggled getting them loose. On prints where there was wide contact area...like a flat bottom to a wide part, they'd stick so firmly that I'd have to take the glass plate off, and then use the underside of the edge of my desk break them free...essentially using my desk as a hammer! My printer's glass plate has a coating that's supposed to promote adhesion...well, it's certainly effective at that!Making it even worse, this was all using PLA...which was all I'd printed with, till just a couple days ago. But I needed to use PETG to print a part for my miter saw, and from what I'd read, PETG is known for not wanting to let go from the print bed. Well, I printed one set of my new parts, and sure enough, I had problems. The printing went fine...the parts looked good, but they were stuck down hard! One piece was so firmly stuck to the bed that it was destroyed getting it loose!!So I ordered this plate, and got it yesterday. After re-leveling my printer to account for the different thickness of the plate (vs the glass it replaced), I reprinted all the parts. When I was done, I lifted the plate off the magnetic surface, and the amount it flexed to do that was enough to break all the parts free! Everything came off easily, and intact, and didn't even leave any residue on the printing surface! One day isn't generally enough for me to make up my mind about a product, but this one job had 5 parts, and the difference between running the job with the plate and without it clearly shows it's solved my problem!Couple things I noticed...the size of this plate (I got the 310mm x 310mm size) is perfect for my Longer LK5 Pro. The adhesive magnetic part (that gets stuck to the aluminum printer bed) sticks very well. Make sure to align it carefully when you apply it...once it's stuck, it's stuck for good. I don't think you'll get a do-over if you mis-align it. I cleaned my aluminum plate with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth before I stuck the magnetic surface down. This plate is thinner than the glass it replaced, of course...even when including the adhesive magnet that sticks to the printer bed. So you'll have to re-level your printer. The magnet grips the plate VERY well! The plate is supposed to be stainless steel, but I wonder about that. Most grades of stainless aren't particularly magnetic, and some aren't at all. This plate is attracted to the magnetic surface strongly enough that it will pull it from your fingers as you're trying to align the plate. A good thing, in this instance I guess, but it does require you to carefully align the plate as you're placing it back on the printer. There's no sliding the plate around once it's down.Anyway, for me, this plate works perfectly, and it's money well spent.

glass is passe. no more glue sticks
I used glass for years, decided the printer deserved an upgrade and ordered this.Magnet was easy to apply, the magnet quality feels solid, the plate is easy to remove and has a nice flex to it.I use mesh leveling so I didn't have to change a single setting, just replaced my glass bed with this one, and did some test prints and it has had zero issues with adhesion so far. Every first layer has stuck first try. have only done about a dozen prints so far, but no issues yet. Even on multi-part prints with a bunch of little pieces like the flexible octopus go down super easy and are really easy to remove.Worth the upgrade from glass if you still ever have adhesion issues.

Works as intended
Been printing with it for a couple of weeks and it has worked really well.Adhesion has been flawless, I don't use a magnetic sheet as there are magnets in my print bed and the plate holds down very flat. Once cooled parts lift off really easily. The resulting texture is perfect. No problems with it.

Textured is an understatement
If you like texture, this is the PEI bed for you. It's almost a little TOO textured. The adhesion is very good, and releases when it cools as it should, but it is very rough. If you look at the image you can see there are thousands of little pits all around the plate. If you have even a little too much squish the filament can get down in there and be a real pain to get out. Also if you need to print fine details on the first layer it's just too rough for that. I tried to do the linear advance print for the marlin firmware for example and it just wont stick correctly. Its too rough to get those lines to lay down without coming apart. But for functional parts or models that you NEED to stick down, it works well for that. Another negative is that it is one sided and for this price you can get a two sided PEI bed so you have the option or textured or smooth.

Durability
The surface of this magnetic bedplate is amazing. I have a Qidi iFast printer. I loved the removable magnetic baseplate as it allowed me to refrigerate the print and have it remove easily. The problem was if I didn't get to it and the part cooled slowly, when removing, the baseplate surface would remove with it. This PEI plate is amazing. Whether I cool it quickly or slowly, the part removes easily. Also, the adherence to the surface is much better than my original plate. I have bought a couple of these plates to swap out and continue printing quickly. I have purchased another for an old Ultra3D printer I am upgrading the mother board and bedplate on. I highly recommend these magnetic baseplates. They are a great value and work great.

PLA will not stick to either side on freshly leveled bed.
I bought this as it looks so much easier to remove the finished pieces than the glass bed I have been using. Easy to install, but failed at its only job- adhering the filament. I have leveled the bed twice and with the same settings that worked really well on the glass bed, there is little adhesion on this product. Everything has been cleaned with alcohol. I even adjusted the Z axis which I never had to do on the glass bed.

Textured PEI is so good!
Textured PEI is so much better than the magnetic cheapy sheet that comes with ender 3 and the old kingroon kp3. I print mainly PLA and have way less adhesion issues than before and virtually no warping even on sharp corners. With a brim I even print Polymaker ABS without an issue as long as I use a brim. This is for small prints though. Probaly need an enclosure if I max out the print volume

Actually very good quality for the price compared to all the other overpriced pieces of metal
This is what every bed should cost as they are not really any amount of material. Just a slab of metal. This comes with a replacement magnet also which is nice in case I ever need to replace my current bed magnet. It is a little oversized for my Voron 2.5 300x300mm but that doesn't rly matter, it just hangs off by a few mm.
