I have the king size and I don't think that's heavy, and as it is all stitched in squares it keeps it's shape. I think this will be fine. Best quilt I've had and I have purchased many.

Yes. Mine was King Size & we are very happy with it. I bought it as a spare when I have the duvets laundered but it's taken the place of one of the older ones.

No. It’s quite warm. I remove the duvet for the summer and just use sheets.
