Works beautifully, minimum pother from smoke and fumes in kitchen.
This is amazing......but 2 caveats, neither of which affect its star rating. More on that later.A large cooking area which maintains a fairly even heat range, and is easy to clean either in the sink or the dish washer! (Yes, really. I contacted Jata to confirm this but haven't needed to do so yet.) Works as a pancake/chapatti/panini/toastie cooker, a whizz for a Full English and excellent as a teppanyaki. Does need a smear of oil or something to get it going!Very HOT on its highest setting. Suggest you turn it on full then back it off a bit before adding food. Quite responsive.Now the caveats. Jata.....if you're reading this, the power cable is too short and it needs a more substantial, tactile on/off system; just turning the thermostat to zero isn't enough. It needs to 'click' at zero or it needs a separate switch or even a standby light.Cannot see the need to use a frying pan ever again.Suggestion.....look up teppanyaki cookery on YouTube. It will give you lots of ideas and useful tips.
