Great hand dip mold
I was originally looking for one that was connected because I was worried about the pieces getting all askew when I dipped, but I'm actually glad I ended up with this one. I think it's way better than the others I was looking at. Because it has to stand up to constant dunks in water, quality is important, and a lot of reviews on other molds mentioned flimsy material that broke quickly. This is a tried and tested brand and it's worth the higher price especially in the long run, otherwise you'll buy the cheap version and then this one after it quickly breaks. The instructions are not unnecessary complicated and work well. They say using an iron is recommended but not required, but if you can do it you absolutely should. Make sure you use it with a thin, smooth tea towel and not a thick bath towel. It takes a little getting used to, and your first few pieces might wrinkle, but you'll get the hang of it. I may get the smaller size down the line though, as I don't always need a full sheet

Once you use this screen, you will be hunting for more of it
You get a decent set up, but the best part of the kit is the screen you get to put under the mold. That screen is firm, very fine, excellent quality. I started hunting down the screen only because you can DIY the rest of the kit yourself. It is a great kit to learn on.

Great Purchase!
Have had this for about a week now and have loved using it so much! Made a bunch of paper, the instructions were super simple and I went online to their website and checked out the videos they provided as well which I found even more helpful (I'm much more of a visual learner!). Shipping was really quick and easy. Would highly recommend and purchase again. Great value for your money and great uses for recycling bits of paper around the house - I've never embraced junk mail so much!

Takes some dexterity & practice, but the quality is good
I wanted a proper hinged deckle rather than just a screen held against a frame, but this was the only one Amazon listed that seemed like decent quality and not a cheap un-treated wood knockoff. It takes some real practice to use the frame when the screen isn’t attached to the frame — be prepared to practice your “swoop & scoop” quite a number of times. Do it too fast and the screen will pull loose or your pulp will settle lopsided & lumpy. Your edges will not be pristine. All that said, I’ve used it enough now to feel it’s worth the learning curve. I particularly appreciate the quality of the pressing sheet and the frame. The wood is solid and extremely well treated so that it should stand up fine to years of use in water.

Easy To Use and Makes the Papermaking Process A Breeze
This is one of the most important items you will need for making your own paper. This kit makes the papermaking process a million times easier. It is easy to use and well made. Using our sink sprayer, it was fairly easy to clean as well. We used an oversized cake pan for our dipping process and it worked nicely. Be aware that you will need a large pan (with lips) for that process as you have to dip this mold kit into it. The kit also came with great instructions. We made tons of homemade paper using scraps of newspaper and various scraps of construction paper. We haven't had any problem with this kit and plan on using it many more times in the future. This is a well made kit and fun activity to do and we highly recommend it!

A little hard to use
Since the deckle and the mold part is not stuck to each other, when I align it straight and dip them in the water, the mold part always shifts and gets crooked inside no matter how tightly I hold them. I wish this had the mesh part attached on the deckle or have the tape on the side to hold them together like their other products they sell from the brand. It was my first time making paper so I didn't know how important it was to have a frame that has the net part attached. Kept practicing but its just too hard :(

Fun project
Kids enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, paper is drying now. The paper came out really cute, and it was one of the easiest projects ever. Not messy, just wet.I blended some white paper with water (the instructions give you a ratio but I missed it and just eyeballed it) that had watercolor smudges and we pressed dried flowers from nature walks in it (sounds fancy but I just throw whatever they bring back into a box and let it sit). One thing to watch out for is if you actually have a tub big enough for 8.5x11, plus frame, plus swishing room. I have several plastic tubs that are 10x13 or so and that was not large enough! We ended up using an old Christmas tree tub that was too wide. Because the frame isn't stapled on, it tended to puff up unless we let it "burp", and because it was shallower than ideal it required some finesse the kids couldn't manage. I'll get a smaller one that is stapled so we can do this and it's not quite as much of an undertaking.

Best paper making kit
I’d ordered a cheaper brand earlier. Mistake! This AG has a sturdy frame and thick couch sheets.

Not the best instructions
I received the Arnold grummers hand mold paper making kit in a timely matter and in good shape. However once I opened it I had no idea which was the paper making screen and which was the gray cover screen. Why there were no press cloths included is beyond me because now I have to order that and wait. You would think coaching cloths or press cloths would be included so that all we needed was the tray and the sponge and then of course the iron. As it stands there was not one booklet or set of instructions and closed that told me what each item was and how to use it.

Absolute garbage
Updated.Picture a cheaply made frame with a loose rectangle of mesh plus a cheap plastic rack to hold under the mesh. Hold these three items under the water in which you have placed your torn paper and the mesh part floats sideways or upward because of the pressure of one or more large air bubbles (however hard you grip it). It's a total joke. I have made paper in the past, with a far superior device from Toys R Us. Also, the enclosed instructions talk about laying out "one presscloth" and then another. There were no presscloths in this set.
