idemitsu, they're one of the if not the only oem fluid manufacturer for Honda HFT-2 CVT fluid. If you walk through the dealership floor, you'll see barrels of this stuff. Why buy it in a Honda labeled bottle at nearly twice the price? 5 gallons at $10 a quart (4x1.25gallon jugs is what I bought), while my nearest Honda dealership wants almost $17. Same fluid different container. I have a half quart from the last job and the smell, texture, feel and taste is exactly the same (jk on the taste but everything else was spot on). 2000 miles in so far and no issues (never doubted it) my car has over 100k miles, previously I've only stuck to hcf-2 fluid I picked up from the dealer but since it keeps going up year after year, I looked for an a different source. While you can still buy Honda labeled Hcf-2 online for $13-15 before tax. idemitsu Is $9, $10 basically after tax. This is enough fluid for 125k miles! That's if you're doing 25k drain&fills like I am.
