Decent sediment filters
These are working okay for me. I'm still on the first one. Depending on the nature of the sediment in the water, some might get through: these are a nominal 1 micron, meaning some pores may be bigger. But overall, they're relatively inexpensive and haven't been limiting flow too much.

Good for wells
Been using these for several years to filter sediment out of well water. Use 1 micron for wells and 5 micron for city water. Cheaper in bulk packs than duals or singles.
