This is not too bad. I don't think the cut is as pronounced as in the amazon pictures but it looks good when worn.If you want to fasten any of the buttons, I would recommend ordering a larger size than normal as I found the sizing slightly small. For me that wasn't an issue as I wanted to wear it completely open.One reviewer compared this to a lab coat. While I can see the point, this does have a different cut, shiny metal buttons and fancy cuffs. On it's own it doent look the best but pair it up with a nice ruffled shirt and it looks the part.

Got this for my son's play at school and he loved it so much. Fit great and perfect for colonial times play.

i was concerned buying this online because i've had issues with sizes in the past with other sellers, but this fits perfectly if your measure yourself and buy based on the measurements provided.This coat looks and feels great, to the point where i am comfortable wearing this to work and formal occasions because of its sheer awesomeness. The buttons work but this is meant to be worn unbottoned (because the coat is tucked in such a way where the edge of the coat doesn't bang up against your knees, just like how these coats were made back in the day). Just as a heads up, there isn't any actual pockets; it's basically just a flap that makes it look like a pocket, but i didn't care about that.
