Bought this as the new Internet only phone lines mean your old plug in phones no longer work from their sockets.Was dubiuos, but as it's cheap, thought it was worth a punt.Plugged one end into the telephone socket on the broadband router and the other end into the wall socket.As if by magic, the phones plugged into the extension sockets all worked again.Well worth it, if you have telephone sockets splattered around the house, with the old fashioned retro phones plugged in.

Did the job

Worked just fine for connecting my home phone network to a VOIP ATA adapter (remembering, of course, to disconnect the previous phone service supplier first).

Excellent product and service

After having fibre to my door my phone line has been disconnected. I used this cable to connect my old phone internal extension socket to my router. Worked perfectly.

If your new property has Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) chances are the builders have wired the home's phone sockets to a phone socket adjacent to your incoming modem / router. which may even be in a cupboard! In order to light up your phone sockets you will need to connect from the relevant phone outlet on the router to the phone socket they installed nearby and the others will then burst into life. This cable is a standard phone plug at each end which is unusual and unlikely to be found in B&Q Currys etc but worked just fine for me.
