Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Ultimate Portfolio: Road Test Book

I think this book will be a delight for any Silver Shadow enthusiast. It's packed with contemporary road tests and all the important facts and figures, as well as some heavy-duty facts for the real nerds out there (me).Covered in the book are the Shadow & Shadow II, as well as the Bentley variants.A bit of a shame that it's all in black and white, but some of the road tests are well over 40 years old.

Seriously good. Not cheap (like the car) but worth it. Very dense, you wont read this at one sitting, but if you're smart and can read between the lines you'll learn a lot.One thing you won't get is a "what to look for when buying secondhand" because the book is only reviews and test drives of new cars (not always fault free). It claims to have an buyers guide article but don't buy it for that. All it says is "buy to most expensive one you can afford because it too expensive to restore".Hope that's helpful to you.Laurie

A very good selection of articles, mainly contemporary for the time the car was in production.

This is another very good book from Brooklands. As with other books in the series it is filled with historical adverts, motoring articles and road tests.What is very interesting about the articles and road tests is the fact that you get a very real feeling of what the motor industry thought of these vehicles during their production.Some of the print reproduction is not of the highest quality, however this appears to be a result of the source material.Highly recommended.

Very comprehensive book, bought for my partner who has a classic Rolls. Was a hit.

Worth a read with lots of useful info.

A Good Book.Consists of a collection of Articles firt published in various magazines/newspapers mainly UK,though some overseas.Articles are in date order.i.e start of book is 1965,end of book is late 90's.Therefore if you are interested in a particular model,only part of the book will be relevant,as much of the info is repeated with slight differences as the model developed.For instance Silver Shadow 2,is confined to the last 10% of the book,though the info given is detailed & substancial.All the pictures & diagrams are black & white.

Good selection of period articles on the R-R Silver Shadow covering all models and versions. Very useful to see the difference between models.

It's very well written and the pictures are great. What a great book for my husband's collection.His retirement hobby is collecting books on the history of cars and trains .
