This Magpul MAG437-BLK MOE Cantilever piece bolts on very easily and securely to the polymer handguard on the Sig 556xi rifle. Just separate the upper from the lower so you can slide off the handguard, then fit the tabs on the back of this little piece of rail into the slots on the polymer handguard and attach one screw/nut. Tighten down the screw and it locks securely into place. Cosmetically, it looks like it belongs on the rifle because the black is an exact match to the Sig's handguard, and the sloped rear tapers neatly into the lines of the rifle (it also makes the perfect spot to park your thumb, providing a more positive and ergonomic grip (assuming your hands are medium-large like mine).If you're looking for a durable and lightweight way to mount a light on a Sig 556xi with the polymer handguard, you've found it!

Some Mlok slots are longer than others so naturally this might move forward and backwards. That's okay. The back has 2 posts that go into the slot and a hole between the posts to screw in a small backing plate that clamps down against the inside of the rail. The 2 posts are too small for any standard Mlok slot and allow this thing to also slide up and down as well as rotate up and down. The backing plate is shaped like a pill and it doesn't fit between the 2 posts when installed parallel to the mount. If you clamp it against the 2 posts, the posts are deeper than the thickness of any rails I own so the backing plate doesn't even clamp against the rail. This lets the mount also move in and out. The solution to this would be to rotate the backing plate perpendicular to the mount so it fits between the posts but the rail I want to install on is a bit round so that doesn't work either. This thing is garbage. There are better mounts from wish.

Overall, it is great. I use it to secure a QD bi-pod. I do worry a little about having only one attachment bolt. A second would be great. Also, the fastener did not come with thread locker. Add thread locker yourself to reduce the likelihood it works loose.

I love this mount. First, It just looks Good. With just one hole mounting, it mounts up rock solid. Unlike other similar products which require two or more mounting holes, this one was just what I was looking for. "There when you need it!" and when its not needed, you don't even notice it is there!. Unidirectional, I can mount it towards me for close access or away form me to keep the light forward, more out of the way but still within easy reach for quick access. A very stylish mount, rock solid, one screw that holds fast with no movement. The Magpul MOE cantilever rail Is one well thought out rail mount. My ARs are happy now but my tactical shotguns are weeping for these mounts so I need some more and I highly recommend this cantilever mount to anyone looking for a small robust light rail. Well done!

I was looking for a solution to mounting a weapon light onto my AR that's wearing a Magpul foreend. Previously it was attached on the right side using a standard Magpul rail section. This caused it to be 1. On the wrong side if the rifle (right handed shooter). 2. Was set too far back for comfortable shooting. I attached this rail section very easily to the left side of my rifle. After installing the light/light mount it was now in perfect position for manipulating the light without losing a good grip, and was out the way for comfortable shooting while it's not in use. The rail section moints solidly, with no movement. Overall I'm very pleased with this cheap and easy solution. Would definitely recommend it to others

I really like this product! I was using the Elzetta ZFH1500B-T AR15 Tactical Flashlight Holder which is also a very nice product. However it seemed to add bulk to my AR15The MOE Cantilever is much cleaner and I'm sure much lighter. I use a Magpul MOE RVG Grip and can easily access the switch on my Streamlight 88850 Polytac LED Flashlight. Also excellent!To tie it all together I have a GG&G 1" Flashlight Mounting Ring GGG-1195 rounding out my lighting system. It is very simple. Nothing fancy and relatively inexpensive. I recommend these products to anyone looking for a good lighting platform!I use both these set ups for my AR15 and my Smith & Wesson 15-22 (no need for the MOE Cantilever on the 15-22 as it already has rails.)

Fits great on my MOE fore-end of my Remington 870. I actually bought two, and have one mounted on the left and right sides of the fore-end. I have yet to attach a light or anything (the light mount I purchased didn't fit the light I planned on using), but they attach very securely for only one screw, and I would not be worried about them coming loose at all.
