OVERALL REVIEW:This Vortex shirt is made from a moisture-wicking polyester fabric. It is long sleeved and is true-to-size with no inner tag on the back collar. The inside of the shirt is smooth and the exterior has a slight waffle pattern. The Vortex Logo appears to be “pressed” into the fabric on the front and is not a screen print. QUALITY OF ITEM: Very Good This is a decent base layer for outdoor adventure or a single layer in warmer temperatures. The shirt is very comfortable just by itself and seems to keep me warm in a chill, yet is equally cool when a little warm. I have used it for workouts and I get plenty sweaty in it, but it distributes all across the shirt and seems to be fair at keeping moisture off the skin. I am never too hot when working out in it [indoor/outdoor running, and elliptical]. It works well under my coat and I don't recall sweating when wearing it as a base layer. Stitching is solid and has “exposed” serger seams on the outside. Fabric is pretty stretchy and is easily scrunched up the forearm when hands need to get wet or messy. PROS: Lightweight base or single layer, CONS: Doesn't dry fast enough for me after sweaty workout, a bit pricey. WOULD I RECOMMEND? Yes If you can afford name brand active wear then this is a good choice for baselayer or even wearing by itself. It is a comfortable fit and easy to don and doff.

This is a nice long sleeve shirt that adds some warmth, that is also moisture wicking when it needs to be. It's performed well as I've worn it skiing throughout the season. I really like that the laser-embossed logo in the chest is visible, but doesn't add a sticky, non-breathing layer the way screen-printed graphics do.

Vortex knocked it out of the park on this one and I'm very pleased to say the least. Its very comfortable and contours to my body, without feeling tight or stuffy. Its relatively lightweight and manages to keep me at the "right" temperature, I'm not to hot or cold. The material isn't scratchy or uncomfortable in anyway, in fact its quite soft on the skin. You can get this item in two different colors, as well as various sizes to fit your needs. This is a quality product that's reasonably priced, fits great, and comfortable. I'd gladly wear this on its own or as a base layer for the cold season. Its a solid shirt for what you pay for, give it a try!

This shirt is a thin polyester waffle weave shirt that can be used for layering or worn alone. The fabric is moisture wicking a breathable. I accidentally got a size medium instead of large for my husband but it still worked well for him and was just was a bit more slim fit. The back of the neck has a nice vortex logo strip. There is a large logo in the front and another on the back of the next. Versitle item to add to any outdoors man's wardrobe. The material is very comfortable and lightweight.
