This is perfect for gourmet mushrooms.The mixture was easy to use and after a little bit of heat, suspended in solution well. No complaints here, it worked well for me. My mushroom cultures seemed to like it too.

I'm relatively new to mycology, but the culinary and health benefits of fresh mushrooms like oyster, shiitake and lions mane lead me to try culturing and cultivation. With this Potato Dextrose Agar Powder prepared in Petri dishes I plan to culture mycelia to propagate more shrooms. This PDA is priced better than others and the current discount makes it more attractive. I'll report back and update this review if I encounter any issues with the product.

This agar did not grow bacteria from areas around school. Nothing grew.
