Stylish and unfussy, with some well thought out features
This is the 32mm version and it fits my wife's smallish wrist perfectly. She needs a reading correction of more than +3 but can still tell the time with these nice chunky hour markers and hands. Second hands are always very fine, but they have added a large red blob to the end so it remains visible. The unfussy simple layout is very appealing. She loves it.This watch trades on its eco credentials which are partly based on the natural rubber (38%) strap and use of castor oil in the watch case, and secondly in it's packaging. For an expensive watch it arrives in an understated cardboard slip case, containing a felt looking (made from recycled PET bottles) sleeve that holds the guarantee, a leaflet about the Swiss railways design and a booklet outlining the eco credentials. No huge box that looks too nice to throw away, but is too big to fit in the drawer. The 'felt' slip case fits my MotoG (about 7 x 14 cms) phone beautifully, and there is a helpful ribbon arrangement that allows you to pull the phone up in the case so you can easily get hold of it. What a well thought out bit of packaging.

A bit too understated but very comfortable and accurate time keeper
The watch comes inside a felt case and has plastic protection films on the face; back and the fastener. it looks nice but doesn't reflect the price. (looks like a plastic watch). The watch back says "Official Swiss Railway watch; Case based on renewable material; Water resistant; Mondaine Watch Ltd Switzerland". The strap is soft 'rubber' and measures 9" with 11 holes so will fit large wrists. It as raised bumps on the back to allow sweat to run through but is very comfortable to wear and the profile isn't too thick. The face is clearly marked with long white dashes for the hours and smaller white dashes to mark the minutes. The hands are white and a decent size so easy to see and the second hand is red but has a large red bulb on the end so that is also easy to see.I love Swiss watches for their accuracy but this one is a bit too understated. The watch is only water resistant and not waterproof so I have to remember to remove it before washing the pots. It is very comfortable to wear and is an accurate time keeper.

Highly recommended for an everyday watch
The Mondaine watch is a real pleasure. The rubber strap is very comfortable and the watch is nice and light. I can't comment on battery life as it's still using the original battery. I wear this as an everyday watch, so it gets everything from housework to gardening and it still looks like new with a quick wipe over. The main reason I like this watch is the lovely clear dial and hands, it has a great contrast so it's very easy to tell the time and a quick glance. It has a classic look that Mondaine seem to do really well and their range really stand out against others. Highly recommended for an everyday watch, I would say that it's a little large for any 'dress up' occasions but that will depend on you personally.

Good craftsmanship with eco credentials
The Mondaine Womens Quartz Watch is distinctively designed and eco friendly. Considering it is mainly made from recyclable materials it is quite an impressive feat of engineering, however for me the look doesn’t suggest its price tag on first glance. When looking more closely you see the craftsmanship of the watch and along with its eco credentials you can begin to understand its price point. I found the watch comfortable to wear day and night, which almost surprised me, as I was concerned that the rubber strap may rub or irritate my skin, but it doesn’t. The strap is also non-slip, due to its ‘waffle’ underside, has a generous number of settings for every wrist size and two retainers to ensure a snug streamlined fit. The overall look of the watch is what I would call ‘sporty’ and in that market it compares well from a looks perspective. The black watch face, white hands and red second-hand are easy to read and I especially like the circular end of the second-hand as it makes it much easier to read on the go during sporting activity. The watch is waterproof and performed well in the swimming pool, being easy to read with no clouding of the watch face. Overall I am impressed with the Mondaine Womens Quartz Watch and will particularly wear it during sporting activity. If it wasn’t for the price point I would have given it five stars, but on a value for money basis am awarding four.

Functional is what comes to mind. Unimpressed with the packaging for such an expensive watch, though it cuts down on waste.
This watch is what I'd call functional, and though Swiss made, it doesn't scream quality, unfortunately. It is easy to use, maintains time as you'd expect and it doesn't come with a lot of unnecessary packaging, but I'd hesitate to give this as a gift because of how basic it looks. The pouch is apparently deliberately designed this way, so that it can be reused, e.g., for protecting a mobile phone. It comes with a 2-year warranty . It's water resistant, but apparently this cannot be guaranteed, as resistance can be affected by aging of the gaskets, changes in temperature, exposure to cleansers, physical or thermal shock, etc.Still, it works and there are no airs and graces about it, which means that my hubs has pinched this - it looks more like a man's watch than a woman's.

Elegant and classic...
This watch is very slim, and has a fairly small face; the black/white/red colour scheme gives enough contrast that despite this, it's easy to read. The strap is comfortable, and so far has worn well, without chafing. It's a precise timepiece with evidence of quality in the well machined parts. Also, it tells the time!Eco credentials may be important - if so, this timepiece has them in spades, with manufacturing focused on renewable resources. It's tough enough to handle any day to day punishment you inflict on it, and elegant enough to deserve space on your wrist.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This is very nice. The watch face is tiny. "For Women". The 5 pence coin is for scale.I'm a man with a thin wrist; this actually looks fine on me.I love the style of the Official Swiss Railways Watch. I think it's the most easy-to-read analogue display that there is.The packaging is very minimal. It comes in a small cardboard envelope (not even a box!) (I thought it was a book or something before I opened the parcel.)
