The idea is there but from a practicality standpoint it really needs some work, there's only one motor that spins both salt side and pepper side and that motor is a little weak so what happens is salt always gets stuck and you'll end up taking the whole thing apart each time you use it, not to mention this thing takes 6 AAA batteries, and still weak, sort definitely needs more work, and I definitely do not recommend it, cause I returned mine same day.
