Platform:Xbox 360 Mayhem is a fast paced arcade racing and car destruction game. The inspiration for the game comes from two distinct types of events: Demolition Derby and Banger Racing. A demolition derby is more of an American pastime, primarily at state fairs and the like. Participants take an old beat down car, strip it of all the glass and other "dangerous" elements, spray paint the car and decorate it to their liking, then beat it to death at the main event. The last vehicle standing is the victor. A Banger Race is more practiced in the UK. Races take place on small courses with pits and hills, and drivers are encouraged to send their opponents off course. Courses can have hazards and obstacles, and the "figure 8" shaped course is a staple of the race. No matter whether it's Banger races or demolition derbys, the fact is that everyone love to see the everyman take it to the mat and come out a victor, and that's what Mayhem is all about.

Fun game, but simple
Once you get into this game, you see the basics of a very fun game. I did not play the game in 3D so I will not speak of it's abilities, but instead I bought it for a fun crash car/racing game. It is hard to do demolition style game well at a reasonable cost. The game is generally in black and white and the visuals will not knock you off your feet. There isn't real time physics and realistic damage to vehicles. The game is not hard by any means (I think there were a total of 2 races/levels I had to do more than once) and it is not deep. The are a limited number of tracks and a limited number of cars which you can't customize. If you are looking for 1000 gamer points, it can be done but you will have to find someone somewhere to trade the online achievements as there is never anyone online playing the game.So with all those negatives, what is there? Well there is the basics of a fun game. I liked to think of it as a kindergarten version of Burnout Paradise . It is easy to run though the game pretty quick (I think it took me all of 6-8 hours to get through the game and get all the achievements). Don't purchase this game if you are looking for Forza Motorsport 4 or Gran Turismo 5 . Buy it for a fun time waiting for the next big game to be released.

A very good budget title
There is a lot of fun in this B-Rated title. Going into it knowing that it is a low budget game you'll enjoy it much more than a A title. It's in Black and white almost the whole time. The 3D is very basic and not super noticeable. Its a real basic destruction derby game. It doesn't try to be more than what it is. Fun cross track races. 4 or 5 groups of cars/trucks. Basic power ups. Just a good B level game. Its destruction derby. That's it.

Awesome game for the price
I bought this game simply because it's a demolition derby style game in black and white (minus some yellow or red colors on a couple things). Overall the game is awesome...just a race & destroy game, and you can pick whether to just race or destroy. Only warning is that your eyes feel like they've been doused with gasoline and set afire after playing it for longer than about 20 minutes due to the black and white. Haven't played with the 2 pairs of 3d glasses that come with it...that just seems kinda dumb to me. Overall a pretty awesome game that I won't be trading in any time soon.

much better game.
Very sloppy controls, whole game is in black and white with a red sky. Audio becomes very repedative. Sent it back and bought Flatout Ultimate Destruction, much better game.
