TolsenHeavy Duty Large 6-64mm 1/4-2½ PVC Copper Aluminum Pipe Cutter

I used this cutter on 2" PVC and ABS pipe with the smaller 18 mm cutting blade, and it produced very clean cuts. Most cutters cannot accommodate pipes this large, so this device has exceptional range. A label on the package advises to turn the cutter around the pipe 5-10 times before each 1/4 turn of the knob in order to avoid damaging the blade or locking tab. I found this guideline very useful, although I tended to tighten the knob gradually by feel when the cutter seemed to be loosening up. One issue that I've seen with similar pipe cutters is that the cut tends to wander if the device is not tightened correctly or if the cutting blade flexes from perpendicular. There was less flex with the smaller 18 mm cutting blade, so I used that one on the 2" pipe for the best cut.

Very happy with mine. Price was reasonable and construction was sturdy. I tried two others first. One didn't come and the other arrived broken. I used this one to cut a 2 inch diameter PVC pipe. Made a clean cut. Took a while and my hands and arms got a good work out but the clean cut made it worth the effort.

It is understood that when a product costs much less than the global competitive brand, it is for the reason that it is not a quality product, when cutting tubes the bar where the blade is placed does not remain fixed leaving a poorly made cut Of course this product would never be compared to RIDGID or MILWAUKEE products in plumbing tools.

Great for PVC this is not for heavy duty copper!!!

Takes a bit of effort but it cuts straighter on a 2 inch pvc pipe than anything else I have tried thus far. Update: Tried to cut some 1 1/4 inch pvc pipe and after about 6 cuts the pipe cutter broke and the locking mechanism that holds the cutting blade to the pipe no longer holds. I don't recommend you buy this item because its not made well at all and will not last. I ended up using my mitre saw to cut the rest. A hot mess of plastic chips to clean up but finished the job.

Easy to use. Cuts PVC pipe very well. The quick release is a good function.

Worked great! Once you figure how to make a complete ring rather than a corkscrew spiral, then you’re in business!

This was bought to cut some 2" thin wall metal pipe, it needed to make just ONE CUT. No matter what you do, this thing just keeps walking from the cut line, you'll end up just spiraling away. A real shame as this has some nice features like the quick release. This cutter would probably work with only the lightest of materials.
