This thing is great! My dog is using it like a wearable pillow. The removable cover is soft and comfortable. She’s trotting around as though she’s not wearing it, no stress at all. Great alternative to the plastic cone.Things to know:- This is awesome for protecting torso injuries or keeping your dog from scratching their head with their paws. BUT! If you have a very flexible or leggy dog, this won’t stop them from licking entirely. My very bendy dog can almost curl around to reach the stitches she has mid-rib. If she’d hurt anything farther back, we’d have to use a different product. If your dog isn’t super flexible, you’ll probably be OK with this collar for everything.- Make sure to measure. We guessed that because she’s mostly greyhound (slender heads and necks) and on the smaller side, she’d be a medium. I measured her neck and she’s a large. The instructions say to size up if it’s close.- Inflating this thing is TOUGH. We had to use an electric pump. It feels really well made and sturdy, including the valve, but the tradeoff is the valve stem is too thick to squeeze open.We’re so happy we got this. It’s making recovery WAY easier and we don’t feel guilty for putting our dog through two weeks of awkward cone time.

I was so over the plastic cones and felt so bad for my boy when he would run into things. I was also trying to find some type of cone to where my boy couldn't get to his back feet. He is prone to moles and chews at his feet so we have to have them removed often but in between surgeries and after the surgery we need to cone him up. So far this is working, hopefully he doesn't figure out a way to get to his back feet. Plus it's a pillow for him and more comfortable than plastic

I like this donut better than the cone of shame. My doggo is more comfy. BUT...I would NEVER leave him alone in it. He can pull it off. 1st time I put it on him, he stuck a foot through the space and was stuck. See the picture? When he lays down to sleep, you see a big space. He can get a foot through that. So I'd ONLY recommend this donut for a supervised dog. It's nice to not have to stare at him constantly when not wearing his cone of shame. I can just watch him periodically and feel calmer.At night though, it's the cone of shame with a nylon collar attached to his harness.It's easy to inflate with a bike pump. By mouth? No way. It's also a pain to keep inflated while you try to close it up.EDITED TO ADD:The one in the picture is the MEDIUM. The doggy is 26 pounds, border collie mix. His neck size is 13/14"And he CAN reach his nether region where the neuter stitches are to lick them.So, I also ordered a LARGE and I used that instead of the medium. I use a COLLAR with it and clip the collar to a harness. NOW, it works GREAT! He can't reach his nether region no matter what. And he has a pillow to rest his head on since the donut is so big.Whodathunk it? a large for a 26 pound tiny featherweight of a doggo.I still hate having to inflate it as it is difficult since the air escapes and I have to hurry up and get the thing closed up. So one star off for that.By itself....I wouldn't trust this thing. A dog could easily get it off.But a bigger size and attached to a collar and attached to a harness? Yes. I have peace of mind and the doggy tolerates this more than the e-collar lampshade thing which also hurts when he runs into the back of my heels.The donut doesn't hurt at all. He just bounces off. So that's nice.

Stella is 10 years old and active. She has a cyst in her hind leg. I just put this on her tonight with meds on her leg without wrapping it. So far,PROs- Pup doesn’t try to get at her leg yet because she is distracted by the tube- This 100% NOT THE COLLAR OF SHAME. YAH!!! For people who are not familiar, the collar of shame is the hard plastic collar that comes out past the dogs, face and ears. Your pet has no peripheral vision and cannot see where they are going, it scares them, they bump into things, the collars can be rather terrifying.- This soft tube is inflatable. FYI - I received a new unused product in an unopened box in case you are wondering abt one of the reviews- I did not attach one of her collars to the tube as instructed. I didn’t want to freak her out bcs she does not wear a collar unless we are going out. Also, I thought it would be a bit less invasive in general. I just inflated the tube and released the Velcro strap, put it around her and put the strap back so it’s almost like a collar not too tight and she seems OK with it for now.- If for some reason Stella is able to damage the team be bcs I did not anchor it with a collar, that’s in me.- Pup can eat and drink normally. I was skeptical about this, but it is true. I’ve seen it for myself.- if your pet gets it dirty, whether it’s with food or rubbing on some thing, or even going outside, the tube is covered by a removable fabric, which you can wash or wipe down.- Pup still happily guarding from the porchCONs- I will add updates as we try to heal this wound.- It is not indestructible like most hard plastic “collars of shame”.- I would not leave your pet unsupervised (even in a crate) if you will be away for any length of time. It’s definitely soft and could be deflated or pulled apart. You don’t want leave your pet with that kind of thing going on if they really decided needs to go- Pink color is going to get dirty fast. Hardly a con but be aware.

So happy I chose this brand. The material is easy to wipe clean of dog hair. It’s very well made and so easy to use. I have a collie and got an extra large. Fits her well and is so much more humane to use than the plastic dog cones. Very happy with this purchase!

Bought this for our puppy 5 yrs ago and worked perfectly for his neuter. I think it sprung a leak just at the end of his end of use, but it worked beautifully. I just bought this for our kitten’s spay. We didn’t have a regular cat collar for her as she is an indoor cat. Anyway, she scooted out of it every single time. As it was the weekend we had to run back to the vet to get one of their collars which work, but are very uncomfortable. Then we realized this collar would work if we purchased a regular collar that fits in the three enclosures fitted exactly for this product. Just received her collar today, and there is no way she can get out of this collar. She is super happy and comfortable with this one, and it works as intended. So happy with this collar, now twice purchased both for our puppy and now our kitten. She loves sleeping on her little cushion, can eat without the cone bstruction, but also can see properly. I highly recommend this collar and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again!

Siamo tutti felicissimi di questo acquisto. Dopo l’operazione alla coda di Daisy la veterinaria ci ha consigliato di farla indossare il classico cono rigido ma è stato un disastro per 10 giorni daisy non dormiva più sbatteva dappertutto ed era sempre nervosa è riuscita anche ad aprire dei punti poi la veterinaria ci ha consigliato questo prodotto ed è stato una salvazione per tutti finalmente la notte dorme di nuovo non è più nervosa e sembra che le piace pure questo collare è facile da mettere lei ci appoggia comodamente la testa poi è anche lavabile.
