I don't understand your question, but I mounted mine inside my garage which has open 2 by 4's.

Yes. The pull up bar is a separate piece that runs through a hole on both support brackets and then secured in place. I believe the bar is 48" wide so that would be the maximum width but if you mount on a smaller width, the bar will just be sticking out further on one or both ends. You could shorten with a hacksaw if desired.

This is a really solid pull-up bar. I think it would be fine outside. I don't think that temperature would affect this. I think that, over time, moisture may affect the metal if there are knicks and such in the paint. I believe that it is a galvanized steel. It would take a long time for this to be an issue. You would probably be too old to do a pull-up by then, ha! Mine came with a few small knicks in it. But I can assure you this is a solid bar and built as tough as I would expect. I would hang it outside, if that was my only option. If it is under cover, it will last forever.
