Works as expected and a lot cheaper than other alternatives

So glad I bought one

This will detect metal in a dry plasterboard, but seems to struggle of lain deeper in a traditional wall.

It does what it says, I can find in the wall power cables easily with it reducing the risk of damaging any when drilling.

I have been using a different brand for years but needed to out up some shelves, couldn't find it so had to get a replacement quick.It looked OK when it arrived but a bit on the cheap side (which it was) and beeped when I switched it on but that's about as good as it got.I have a wall where I know exactly where the power cables sit as I put them in so used this as a test. Tried it and not a peep, tried again sitting it right above the cable, still nothing.Recalibrated, and it started beeping where the were no cables and kept quiet where there were.Changed the batteries and tried again, still beeping nowhere near the cable then silence where the cable actually sits.Got someone else to retry and same rubbish results.As a final test I ran it over the lead from the plug to the kettle when I was making some tea. In 2 out of the 5 tries it beeped and then it was sitting directly on the cable!On the plus side it is a nice shade of blue.Wearing a blindfold and whistling when you run your hand over the wall was more accurate than this thing.

Simple operation. Unambiguous alerts single tone for metal, pulse for AC

Very useful thing, though to be perfectly honest I only needed it for one job - finding a pipe in a cavity wall - a job which I must say the Silverline Metal & Voltage Detector 1 x 9V (PP3) (568917) did very well.At a loss with what to do with it afterward, I have had immense fun "detecting" my Aunt Levinia's many piercings - the beeping never fails to wake her when she dozes off in the summerhouse!To my surprise, she also has more piercings than I hitherto knew about...

Works reliably in both metal detection and current detection modes. Well made and inexpensive. Every toolbox should have one.

Es justo lo que necesito, es económico y detectan perfectamente tuberías metálicas y perfileria de tabiqueria de pladur.

È un giocattolino, per qualche giorno funziona, poi inizia ad avere qualche problema. Insomma data la spesa direi che vale quel che costa

Contrairement à ce que certains ont dit précédemment ce produit est niquel :Je devais installer des spots et il m'a permis de parfaitement définir les endroits ou se situaient les rails derrière le placo !Je recommande pour les bricoleur !

The media could not be loaded. Es ist günstig und da ist klar dass das kein Profi Teil ist. Wenn man die Empfindlichkeit voll aufdreht , dann piept es schon in der Luft. An der Stelle wusste ich, dass da ein Kabel ist und dieses ist nicht sehr tief in der Wand. 100% zuverlässig wirds bestimmt nicht sein. Könnte man die Empfindlichkeit höher drehen ohne dass es durch die Luft oder wahrscheinlich durch sich selbst piept, könnte man Leitungen in der Wand leichter finden.Letztendlich kann man die Leitung nur ungefähr aufspüren, trotzdem bohrt man dann noch auf gut Glück.Wenn man genauere Ergebnisse braucht, dann sollte man mehr Geld in ein anderes Gerät investieren.
