Awesome tent
It was very easy to put up. I got this on my Rivian in 15 minutes. Very roomy and high. I got the airbedz mattress and it covers the whole bed. Pop up tent in the ground then put in the bed. Then put the poles in. Only 4 poles!! Then it folds up so easy.

For anyone else looking for an honest (not paid or free item provided for review) of the Pittman EZ Up Truck Bed Tent, here are my thoughts…I have a 2023 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab, Short bed.The tent appears to be well made but I would absolutely not say that this is the easiest or fastest set up.There is a serious issue with the EZ up mechanism. There is nothing quick or easy about it and it does not go up as smoothly as it does in the very few videos you can find of this tent online. It also looks like cheap plastic so I am not convinced that it will stand the test of time.I struggled terribly the first time trying to pop up the tent. I was actually afraid that I was going to break the EZ up mechanism. I pinched my fingers multiple times. I was sure I was doing something wrong so I pulled back up the videos, consulted the manual and tried multiple times again. I ended up having to have my husband attempt to open it as well - he also struggled. It took us over an hour together trying to get the tent up and was only able to get it up successfully once (struggled, got it up, took it back down and tried again and couldn’t get back up so we gave up).I have emailed a video to the company and will update this review if they confirm I have a defective tent.I did start by trying to set up the tent in the truck bed and ended up moving to the ground - partially because of the issue with the EZ up mechanism but also because due to the size of the tent, it was awkward to manage inside the truck bed and there was no way to place the legs to get the tension the mechanism appears to need. I saw another review that said to secure it first and then pop it up. I tried this - again maybe it was because of the EZ up mechanism but there was absolutely no way this was going to work.Moving the set up tent from the ground to the bed was a bit interesting and took some finagling as I did it alone. With 2 people, it would be no problem but to manage alone was difficult and I was worried I was going to scratch my truck moving it back. Please do keep in mind tho I am only 5’4 - perhaps if you are taller, this would be less difficult. It turns out, I did scratch my truck but I have no idea at what point this happened - moving it off, back on, or back off.I realized after moving the tent onto the bed and securing it that I forgot to put on the rain fly. Putting it on after it’s already in place was nearly impossible. If I was taller or had a ladder, maybe this would not be an issue. It took me standing in the doorway and partially laying on top of my cab to get the rainfly over the top of the tent. You can see in the photo it’s not even on correctly but at that point I was so ticked, I want going to try to fix it. So, be sure to install before you relocate from the ground to the truck bed or you’ll have a challenge. It is def not something you want to have to do in a hurry if the weather changes while it is off. However, the fact that the tent is so tall is a positive for me when it comes to interior space of the tent.I do like the tent colors. The red is not as bright red as it looks in some of the photos/videos I saw online. It is more of a maroon color which matches my truck nicely.Paired with the Pittman Airbedz Truck Bed Mattress - it would make for a cozy set up.The main reason I wanted a truck bed tent was so that I could set up the tent at home, put in my sleep system, take down the tent and fold it on itself in the bed of the truck, close my tonneau cover and drive to camp. Once there, all I would have to do is remove the cover, pop the tent back up and we would be all set for sleep. I cannot imagine a way that you could do that with this tent - trust me I tried. I can do this with other dome tents. My major complaints aside from the EZ up mechanism that I already discussed:The screen door arrived with multiple blemishes. It feels very thin compared to some of my other tents. Im not confident it will hold up well especially considering the screen is on the outside of the tent. That in itself wouldn’t be an issue if there was a way that you could roll and secure the screen by itself. There are loops but no hooks available to secure the screen. So if the screen is not zipped shut, it will just hang below the tailgate. You could use a carabiner or some other device to secure it but for the price of the tent you shouldn’t have to - there should an available hook. You can also just kind of drape the screen over the middle tie down that goes under the tailgate but again given the fragility of the screen, Im not sure this is a great idea or you will wind up with a hole if you aren’t careful. For that matter, a carabiner and/or just entering/exiting over the rolled screen might very well cause a hole also and perhaps that is why they don’t have the option to roll and secure? There are a number of other significantly cheaper dome tents available that go up way easier than this did.

Camping enthusiasts, if you own a mid-size truck and haven't yet experienced the Pittman Outdoors EZ-UP Truck Bed Tent, you're missing out on an incredible way to elevate your outdoor adventures. I recently had the pleasure of testing this ultimate truck bed tent system, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its design, ease of use, and comfort. The Mid-Size 5.0'-5.2' version of this truck bed tent is the perfect fit for my vehicle, and it's clear that Pittman Outdoors has put thought into every detail. Setting it up is a breeze, even if you're not an experienced camper. The color-coded poles and clear instructions make the process straightforward, and I had the tent ready in no time. One of the standout features of this tent is its EZ-UP system. With just a few simple movements, you can pop up the tent into its full form, which is incredibly convenient after a long day of driving or hiking. It's an excellent solution for those who want to spend less time on setup and more time enjoying the great outdoors. The tent's build quality is impressive. The materials used are durable and weather-resistant, which is crucial for camping in various conditions. I've encountered rain and wind during my trips, and the tent has held up admirably, keeping me dry and secure throughout the night.Inside the tent, you'll find a comfortable and spacious sleeping area. There's plenty of headroom, and the design allows for excellent ventilation, preventing condensation and stuffiness. The windows and door have mesh coverings to keep bugs out while allowing for a refreshing breeze to circulate. The sewn-in floor of the tent is another great feature, keeping dirt and critters outside where they belong. Plus, the access panel to the truck's cab is a thoughtful touch, allowing you to retrieve items without having to leave the tent.In addition to the tent itself, you'll appreciate the included rainfly, which provides extra protection in wet conditions. The rainfly is easy to attach and further enhances the tent's waterproofing. One minor consideration is that, due to its design, the tent can take up valuable space in your truck bed, limiting the amount of gear or equipment you can carry. However, this is a trade-off for the convenience and comfort the tent provides. In conclusion, the Pittman Outdoors EZ-UP Truck Bed Tent is a game-changer for camping and outdoor enthusiasts. Its ease of setup, sturdy construction, and spacious interior make it an excellent choice for mid-size truck owners. Whether you're embarking on a weekend camping trip or an extended adventure, this tent provides the comfort and convenience you need to make your experience memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to take their camping adventures to the next level.
