Absolutely brilliant piece of kit! Solid as a rock and very well built. It's light enough to be moved easily around a studio or garden etc. but probably too heavy to carry long distances on location. Feels like this product will last a lifetime. Would highly recommend.

OMG. this stand is just so so so good. i have nothing bad to say. its amazing. i use this with an outdoors highspeed sync gun with a 150cm softbox and it solid. even in wind. heavy and solid this might seem expensive, but its solid and will keep your lights safe.

Once you have your light on this C stand, it will be around 6ft off the ground unless you compress the springs and tighten each of the 2 extension poles. If you do compress and tighten the poles in place, it is around 5ft 7". If you get the boom arm with the stand it helps but is the very heavy with a strobe and softbox on it. Would I buy it again, yes I have 1 with a boom, 1 without and think they are fine for studio work.

Quality

It is very sturdy indeed, which is the main quality. The only problem is it is not very portable. The central shaft when collapsed is still too large to fit in a bag or car boot.

Bought this to replace a traditional stand for location work. I already had the Neewer Pro C stand but at 4 pounds lighter, this seems to be easier to move around. The height is great and sturdy fully extended.20210803 Update: This stand ROCKS! I took it to the ocean and ended up at the water's edge. No only was there no concern for getting it wet, but after a few waves lightly crashed into it and I felt that it didn't move, I was confident with it's operation in the wet sand. Just remember if you do this to keep the long leg in the same direction of your light and modifier. Now I need some replacement lubricant and a larger C clamp so I can clean it again from all the sand.

I've bought other Neewer stands in the past that claim to be heavy duty and they were not. This one is very heavy duty! It's incredible. It weighs about 20-25 pounds. Great, solid build. It holds my Godox UL150 w LAOFAS 47" softbox no problem. If you're on the fence don't be. Trust me on this one. Get it.
