I picked these up primarily to make "ruler" marks on some of my kayaking gear to give me an easy way to estimate fish length/size. So rather than having to pull out the bumpboard every time, I can just hold the fish up to the marks I placed on the side of paddle or the side of the kayak itself. I simply used a ruler to mark inches off, and now, while not perfectly exact, I can get a quick estimate. This works great for deciding if you want to get a more official measurement using the board, or in the case of tournaments, if it is a keeper or one to cull out.As to the pens themselves, once primed, they work very well. The marks were smooth. It worked on all the surfaces I wanted to use it on (mostly plastics, rubber, and fiberglass). The yellow is highly visible, and so far it has not work off. If it does, having two markers, it will be easy enough to touch them back up. It has worked perfectly for what I needed.

These acrylic paint pens are great. They can be used on a variety of surfaces like plastic, glass, wood, stone, metal, and fabric. I tested mine on canvas and it had great coverage.You have to shake it up pretty good before pressing down on the nib in order for the paint to flow out. It takes less than a min to do this process.The paint pens come individually wrapped. The listing says that they have no odor, but trust me, they most definitely have an odor. You might want to consider wearing a mask when working with these as they kick off quite an odor. Other than that, they work good.

I used this pen primarily as a touch up paint pen on a metal surface where some of the old paint has faded or got scratched off. The pen worked well after you follow the instructions on the box to shake it and press the tip in. Once you press the tip in, the paint should start flowing to the tip. When marking on the metal surface, the paint came out smoothly and did not streak much. It would sometimes result in streaks if you apply pressure unevenly or if there is not much paint on the tip. Usually, shaking it a few times and pressing the tip in again would get it to flow smoothly again. The paint flows fairly thick (enough to cover up some existing spots). If needed, you can always wait for it to dry and reapply another layer.

These pens write smoothly with good durable results. Make sure you follow the instructions first as your experience and results will depend on these requisite steps. The results have been very pleasing for my use. I needed a marker that can write virtually on many surfaces and achieve permanent results. This product has checked of all my required boxes.
