Finally a doorbell that rings!

I ordered this to replace my original chime as I am completing a remodel for resale. My old one was plus 30 years old and still working but the cover plastic had yellowed. This was a reasonable solution to clean up the look. Install was rather simple as was wired the same as my old chime so I loosened two screws and the mount screw and put it all back using the new unit. Chime sounds a little better than my old one too. Fast shipping

My old doorbell decided to just click instead of chime, so this looked like a good replacement. Very easy to wire up, since I only have a Ring door switch I was able to choose which of the 2 chimes that I wanted to use. This one works exactly as expected and seems well made.

I picked this up to replace an old doorbell that had stopped ringing because of degraded rubber isolators. The replacement took me about 30 minutes, but would have been faster if I didn't have to deal with poorly run wiring from the last person doing this maintenance job.Including two buttons, one for the back and one for the front, is appreciated but I did not install the one for the backdoor. I do like the brushed metal look of this, as my old one was just white plastic.Recommended since the install was straightforward, the doorbell sound is pleasant, and the construction seems solid.
