Winwill® TF Micro SD To SD Card Extension Cable Adapter Flexible Extender For Car GPS

The massive problem with having a hard drive inside a computer is having to unscrew the case every time you want to access it. I'm a collector of vintage/retro computer hardware and with my Amiga 1200 I've fitted a PiStorm 32 Lite to it. Normally a hard drive inside an Amiga you'd not need to remove but now that's not quite the case. I actually have three microSD cards with different hard drive images on them and to prevent me from having to open the case when I want to swap them over, this extension cable plugs into the Raspberry Pi and the other end sits in a 3D printed cradle at the back of the machine with the microSD card poking out the back. This way I can switch the machine off, swap the card without having to open the machine up and switch it back on.

As the title says. It worked once, it was great, it stopped. I have tried a few different configurations. Tried it as intended in 3D printer, the microSD card works direct in the printer, fails on the extender. I tried the micro SD adapter with microSD card, I tried standard SD card into USB adapter. All work independently, all fail in the extender, so.....it's the extender that has failed. So if you intend to use it once its fine, if at any point you want to remove the card, download its contents and refit, (the whole purpose of the extender is make that easier), then it wont work again. Are there any good ones of these?

It does what it says. So no issue there. My only gripe is that it does not hold on to the SD card. It has a click in and click out function for inserting and removing, great..... but it has no retention mechanism inside to physically hold the card in. So a knock or vibration can cause it to come out. Might be a "one off" with my one, or a general issue.

Printer knew card was inserted but no data present when going to print from it ???, not compatible with 3d Ender printers !!

Installato in una stampante 3D Ender3.Funziona bene, unica pecca.. se accendo la stampante senza la scheda SD inserita viene generato un errore di lettura, devo inserire una qualsiasi scheda anche vuota e poi la stampante va che è un piacere.

Funciona a la perfección. La uso para no estar continuamente extrayendo la microSD del puerto de la Raspberry Pi 3 realizando pruebas. La ranura es SD (no microSD) y poníendole el adptador a la tarjeta es más cómodo de extraer. La extracción es mediante pulsación. Perfecto si quieres cambiar de tarjeta en una bartop o arcade sin tener que abrirlo todo.
