Excellent stuff
One stick can last for a long time - depending how often you refurb your alloys. All you have to do is cut a slice of material from the stick, knead it (wear vinyl gloves, not rubber or latex) between your fingers and then apply by hand to the wheel. Form and shape as best you can while the repair is soft. After 24 hours it will be as hard as the alloy it is stuck to and can be sanded smooth, ready to accept paint. In my opinion it is easier to use than gel / hardener systems. It DOES have a finite shelf life, after which it becomes more chemically inert and best thrown away for a new tube. It is easy enough to test - cut off a pea-sized slice and knead until colour is uniform (it will get warm) then leave for 24 hours. If test piece is rock hard then go ahead and use the rest.Obviously the quality of the final repair will depend on how well you have shaped and sanded the putty, but more importantly on how good you are at preparing the rest of the wheel for paint - and how good you are using a spray paint system (whether aerosol or gun). Most importantly, unlike ordinary body filler paste, this stuff does not suffer from pinholing and will not absorb water.

Effective but hard to work with
Easy to mix. Instructions tell you to wear gloves and i’m Sure for good reason, but not easy kneading putty with gloves on.This sets very quickly - like minutes until too hard to apply - so better to make a little at a time, use then make some more!Finish is rick hard - don’t Leave too long before sanding. But it is very, very fiddly indeed to film tiny scratches especially at edge of rim. It does leave the surface very lumpy and hard to sand if you leave any excess at all. But it is almost impossible to fill fine scratches without leaving excess. I seriously suspect an isopod filler would be a whole lot easier.Once set it is far more resistant to sanding than the alloy so be very careful not to take off more alloy than filler when sanding. This filler works and sets rock hard as you would want. But it’s flipping hard to work with if you want a really good result.

Total rubbish
I purchased this a week ago to repair a damaged alloy wheel on my car.Following the instructions I kneaded the putty until a colour change as the instructions suggested and applied it to the wheel. It did not harden after a day it was still soft so you could not rub it down.Contacting the seller was a waste of time all they said was wait longer and it might harden. You cannot return this to Amazon as it is a dangerous product,Do not buy this and if you do please wear protective gloves handling it as it is very dangerous.

Good product
Works a treat, but it goes off very quickly. Make sure you mix the putty thoroughly first. Only use a little bit at a time, enough to do one scratch then move onto the next. It sands down very easily

Probably needs to be well "kneaded" before use
I made the mistake of trying to directly apply this product to fill scratches. It probably needs to be well kneaded to expose it to enough air to harden more quickly (not dry after 1 hour)Its also not so good on shallow scratches as its not soft or spreadable enough to fill these easily but tends to stick to itself rather than the metal and thus come off as you attempt to work it into a shallow scratch.

One Star
Disappointing, As other reviewers have pointed out, it doesn't set hard even after days.

Easy to use.
Far easier for me to use than normal body filler. Just wish that Amazon sellers wouldn't use Royal Mail. Their delivery times are very poor.
